Actually, it happened to me as well and I think it's just something Canada Post has implemented recently. It's probably done to push the blame over to Customs if it gets stuck there. It's the 1st line that I'm talking about. Watches arrived two days later (would've arrived next day but Canada Post had "issues" with my address when it was clearly visible on the package).

Wow... I'd assume so as well... tough crowd..

Anyone know what the end-result of this case would be?

Best of luck to you... hopefully you don't get any extras charged..

The end-result would be like usual(as in, the same as not having that line there). They only added that further processing line to add more detail to their tracking. If it's out of customs quickly, nothing. If it stays there for a few days, then there might be charges or just Canada Post sucking like usual.

I recently had another package "officially opened" from Canada Post last week too. Had the yellow CSBA tape on it. Luckily they didn't know what to make of it as it wasn't easily identifiable as a rep item. I figure they just said: huhh.. and then repacked it and sent it on its way to me.

Win +1 for the Canda Post sucking as usual :hehehe:

No biggie. I've had this message a few times from Canada Post as well. There's an even more extreme message you can get from CBSA in the tracking, but I don't remember exactly what it says. It's something to the effect of "Retained by customs: Awaiting presentation to customs commissioner" and that's when you should get worried. It happened to me, but luckily enough it was a legitimate vintage Seiko. Held for over a month though. :/

I've gotten that "further processing" message a few times now when shipping to Canada. Never had a problem.

Nothing to worry about!

This is a normal thing to pop up on the tracking info. Apparently CP has updated their tracking info as of Jan 2013 with some more detailed automated comments, and this is just one of them. Every package you get shipped to you from out of the country will show this one...

Further processing means that it is sitting on a shelf somewhere, waiting for a Customs agent to finish his dougnut and coffee, most likely throw it through a sorting machine or x-ray to make sure it does not have any contraband, and then you'll see the tracking show that the post office has it.

I just had a big order come in from Tony (4 watches + 2 bracelets) in one box, so I was a bit nervous too, and it was released the same day, and delivered the following day.

It is pretty standard these days It is to justify their existance. that they are actually checking packages. No worries

yeah, okay, I think based on the comments, it's much adieu about nothing. I think I can climb off the walls now.

I'll let you guys now what happens in the next few days. This is a $500 item in there. I have a feeling the seller put the real amount on the customs dec. that's why I got nervous.

Just received the same tracking update on Canada Post's system, interestingly the USPS one says that it has already cleared customs though.

I'm pretty sure the CBSA message/warning on the top of CP's tracking updates is a permanent fixture to alleviate some delay-related questions, as others have said. I'm not worried.

The question for me is, who'd you buy it from?

My package just arrived as well, unopened by customs (as far as I can tell) and only a day after it reached the border. Ditto on no duties/taxes, mine was a BP 5004 from M2M, no time for decent pics yet.
