Ive been considering a Mako XL, that is if I can sell my Bulova.

While I was browsing for XL's, I stumbled upon the Hammerhead... now I cant decide. The XL has a cleaner look... I like both, but both arent in the budget.

Mako are great value for money but you wont find finishing on those watches like you do on comparable valued rep. They are great if you are not familiar with the dark side.
I use to buy them by weight before i joined here and i thought they were a great value but now i feel like they are toys.

Go back To G shocks. :hehehe:

Hey, at least I'm not back to wanting an invicta. And maybe if you would want work done that I can actually do, I'd be able to afford a nicer watch. I haven't figured out the logistics yet, but me buying an orient is somehow your fault.

Thanks for that insight. I have never seen or held one, so I'm clueless as to their quality.

Go with the Hammerhead!

Or why not get a helenarou Big crown with custom printed dial?
Gen ETA inside, great finish and quality... just giving you some ideas!

I have a Mako XL and it's a great watch. Looks stunning in person, great presence, looks way more high end than it's price. Very good quality and finish, everything operates smooth as silk. Worth every penny and more.
There are also a few downsides but they never bothered me. Lume sucks, it will still be visible in the morning so it lasts thru the night but it doesn't have any initial brightness, at least it's a nice pure white in daylight. Bracelet has hollow end links and clasp feels loose. I wore mine with original bracelet, nato and leather, looks great on all. The movement doesn't wind manually, you can only charge it with the rotor, sounds like this is bad but the rotor is smooth and works really good, actually mine starts as soon as I pick it up and will last a long time with minimal wear.

First, you are correct, I am very indecisive. Secondly, Ive thought about a Precisionist, but Im trying to sell a Bulova, I just wanted to try out a different brand. And the Signature series, are you crazy??? If I cant afford to buy a pair of Orients, how the hell am I gonna fork out for a Signature?

Go with the Hammerhead!

I am leaning towards the hammerhead, just for something a little different. The XL is kinda PO-ish... although, to me, the Hammerhead has a hint of JLC Diver.

Thank you for that mini review. The hollow endlinks, not a fan of. But I would hope White Lightening-ing the bracelet will make it feel a bit smoother and solid. And the lume is not a problem.

Nicw watch smokie, I'm surprised your selling it.

Doesn't fit my style right now, I'm into a rough looking watches period. Just discovered I like nato straps :hehehe: This one is more of a fine jewelry for people who own suits. I wanted to have it in my collection for it's amazing quality even if it doesn't get much wrist time, this gave me many conflicting thoughts "Should I keep a watch I don't wear? But it looks so nice, I don't want to sell it."
So to get rid of the thoughts I'm selling it  I'm pretty sure I'll buy another one soon when my tastes start shifting.

Strodda, I was just giving you something to think about, also I think its better to save a bit and get something you really want instead of something you kinda want.

Smokie, to get rid of the thoughts, LMAO.
