I've read that Rain-X works a treat. It lubricates and contains 'fillers' that will hide scratches in bracelets, also you can use it on the crystal for scratches as well...
Wd40 contains a substance like parafin. This enhances metals to melt. For replica watches this is unforgiving, and will deteriorate alloys. So I stick to trailboss procedure.
Have you thought about giving your watch a blow job?
What do you guys think about using a hair dryer to blow dry the bracelet after you towel dry it?
I have found when detailing my cars the use of a leaf blower works wonders in getting all of those water droplets out from behind the mirrors, moldings and lights.
