I agree with the OP. Filipinos are cheap. So are East Indians. I'm both, so I'm permitted.

Honestly, I've never thought of Filipinos as cheap, frugal or practical. They (not "We" since my Indian side takes over here) love to show off and drop big money at bars and casinos. Many Filipinos i know would rather show off their spending in public than pay their mortgage. Your post would have made more sense to me in reverse where you are Filipino, and the invited boyfriend was a cheap white guy.

It's shocking how many people talk trash about Filipinos around me. I egg them on, add my own stereotypes to the conversation, everyone laughs, then I go straight faced and tell them I'm Filipino. 6'6" angry Filipino is no laughing matter. I never hear any racism about Indians since I look much more Indian. People love being racist if they think those races aren't listening.

You sure your not one Filipino sitting on a Indians shoulders. Cause Filipinos are short. And 6'6" isn't short. My experience with Filipinos in Hawaii is more like your saying they flash cash in public dress nice drive exspesive cars. Then you go to there house to find 5 families living in one house to share rent. These are not racist remarks rather my observation of a majority of the Filipinos I have met.

I understand the OPs difficulties with this. It's frankly pretty straight forward.

If I show up at someone elses table typically I'll buy my own drinks from the bar to avoid this confusion. I'll also order my lady's drinks as well so she too doesn't hae to share with the others. Or we will just order our own bottle.

I also don't expect someone else to pay if it's my bottle and I ask them to share a drink.

Then again, I don't do bottle service much anymore... That shit is always such a ripoff.
