People were asking some flaws in my version. As I state in my sig, I'm not a loupe fiend, I love this watch, regardless of the flaws. But here is what I've gathered.
The bracelet isn't (I don't think) the new "thicker, beefier" updated version.
I hear the V3 case back isn't as accurate as the V2 (I haven't seen pics to compare).
The hour markers are 1 piece, instead of 2 pieces.
It has a beveled date window. The gen baton dials I've seen don't have this, only the dials with numerals.
"Breitling" on the dial is a little too wide.
Hour hand is longer than the gen.

Like I said, this is all stuff that takes scrutinizing, not stuff most anyone would notice at a glance. I could really care less TBH. I think it's amazing.

you're saying the beveled date window comes on arabic numerals only?

I wish someone can post a comparison of the V2 and V3 caseback

Correcting those issues , is failry inexpensive, if it bothers you. But the problem is that once you do the GEN dial, bezel and date, you don't stop. You go with a bracelet, pushers, hands, etc etc....before you know it , you're $2k deep. Ask me how I know.....

right here we go:

V1:
+ correct caseback spacing
+ will take a gen bezel out the box
+ 1 piece case (wr = good)

- dial movement = crap
- no serials

V2 (or ultimate)
+good dial
+good bezel
+ decent a7750
+ 1 piece case
+correct engravings on the back
+ar correct colour

- will not take a gen bezel
- dials not perfect

V3
+ will take a gen bezel with heavy mods
+good dials (better than V2)
+ good movement

- incorrect rear engraving
- 2 piece case (terrible for WR)
- incorrect AR colour
- worse bezel than V2

Basically out the box V2 is the way to go... depending on what you plan to do with it other options are appealing. I've worked with all 3 versions - V1 is the best to hyper mod, V2 is very good out the box and V3 is another good mod watch.

V3 is a real issue with WR though both V1/2 can be WR to 10 bar is treated the V3 struggles.... a LOT to get beyond 1-3 bar.

LINK.....?

personally for a n00b I think getting a V2 and then changing the dial at a later date or possibly even adding in a swiss 7750 is the best option.....
