I can see the serial that is stamped in the watch is wrong as its IW504402 but should be IW504401...Can't spot anything else for now

The tourbillon on the rep is bigger than on the gen. On the rep it's almost touching the 11 and 1...

VERY well spoted! .. 100x times worse in the steel stamp in the clasp... you do not need to be a IWC nerd to think this is strange... the clasp is massive gold! Better then buy: http://www.puretime.watch/product/p...tion-white-dial-on-black-croco-leather-strap/ and then still the style of buckle is wrong! It needs to be this one for 440€ upgrade:

My newest member of the Tourby family.
And it's a huge one . Loved the steel blued hands and the white silvery dial.

Very nice! I know these photos don't quite do the watch justice, because even on my low-price "homage" of this rep, the guilloched dial is fantastic.

So, new double double AR from SSteele plus rotor made more silent, gen Santoni, gen clasp (yes wrong version for this watch, but much nicer then the logo only clasp).... 1.768$ well spent!?

The IWC is really beautiful. I am seriously considering buying one. This may have already been discussed in the 131 previous pages but can anyone speak to how reliable these tourbillon repped watches are? It's a lot of money for a watch that likely can not be fixed when it stops working. I believe they all have sea gull movements and I wonder if they are seconds as sea gull's Tourbillon's are not inexpensive.

As I understand it, the sea gull escapements that do not make the grade are used for cuff links.

I have had 6 tourbies and only one had an issue....

Those cufflinks are not from Seagull tourbys. The rep tourbys use movements from Seagull, Shanghai and several others. It is just the description in the TD's specifications which states Seagull Tourbillon movement. Many times you will see this description on e.g. a Shanghaim movement. I have two Seagull Tourbillon watches from 2009 still working perfectly well.
