Thank you sir for posting pics (and video) of the Malte, I never understood the fuss about it when it came out. Now it is on my shortlist thanks to you.. It looks so extremely impressive in that foto light. Could you post a wristie of it to i normal light?

I thought I already did, but here is a photo.

This was my first Tourby and I have since got the RG version. Awaiting custom strap for that!

Sure, there are many manufacturers of tourbillon movements made in China, - and no we don't have Seagull movements in our reps (the are very expensive). I know it is a review of the most commonly used tourbillon movements in reps, but I cant find it.
Take a look here for more info: http://chinesewatchwiki.net/List_of_Chinese_watch_movements#Tourbillon_movements

Thanks!. Interesting that the Guangzhou movements have essentially the same numbering system as the Seagulls...

Tourby rep owners - I was asking a TD to get me a JLC rep and he said he doesn't like getting them as they (tourbys) are expensive and are prone to breaking (at least that is what I grasped from the message)... I really want the JLC rep for my wedding (gen is not happening any time soon!) but now I have doubts...

How long have you guys owned these tourby reps? Are they still working fuss free?

Thanks

I believe they're fine for reliability. They can't really be serviced but they're not going to take a dump a month in. I had my Hublot Skeleton for almost a year and it was the most accurate watch in terms of power reserve and time keeping.

I have three tourbys, and no problems with any of them. I agree with Zoomboy; they are the most accurate for me as well.

Thank you.

So, any particular TD as the one I approached seemed hesitant!

Thank you.

I got my JLC thru Toro Bravo. He agreed to test it for 72 hours before shipping. One thing you have to realize is that though cheap, Chinese tourbillon movements are pretty reliable, unlike the typical Asian underground movements (A7750, A7753, etc) that power most other reps. I will go as far as calling them gen movements in their own right.

Wow. The corrected "4" make this watch, as we say here, a "game changer. " Me gusta! [emoji106][emoji106]

I just ordered the IWC Portuguese all white dial my first Tourbillon kind off exited most of my watches are 47mm and my smallest is my AP 44 and a Rolex Deepsea so I'm hoping the IWC isn't too small on my wrist

Too big for my 6.5inch wrist do you think?

Yup, too big. Tonneau-shaped watches are not for everyone. You need at least 7.0 wrists to pull them off. Hirsuteness helps too. [emoji1]
