I never had an omega before and I been considering the ploprof, Iove the one in the mesh band.
I read somewhere they discontinued.. is there any chance of getting one from a TD? Or only m2m? Also which one is the better of the versions?

Yes, unfortunately the Ploprof was discontinued over a year ago so the only option left is to hunt for one on M2M or post a WTB ad and see if someone has one to sell you. They do pop up occasionally.

As far as which version, the V2 is by far the best. Working bezel lock button, two piece caseback, and working divers extension on the clasp. The V1.5 is also very solid, just not as functionally accurate. Ironically the lume is stronger on the V1.5 than the V2, but this can be addressed by sending it for a relume.

I'm finally on the verge of joining the club and beyond excited...earlier this week I got the update that my Ploprof v2 franken is finally complete and on its way back from KeNnY after a full relume and reassembly. This has been almost a year and a half in the making so I can't wait to get it. I'll do a separate post once it arrives. So thrilled!

DUDE you have a Ploprof 600? Looks phenomenal! Gen or Helson franken? I've thought about building one of those but at $1100+ just for the base watch I might as well save for a gen.

Your Strodda mod looks killer too. How did the DW turn out?

Thanks. The 600 is the Helson Franken build. Gen parts are dial, pusher and pusher spring. All other parts are the Helson Sharkmaster base. I left the DW as Helson as well instead of the white Ploprof DW. I liked the stealth look a bit better, with the DW color closer to the dial color.

Strodda did a fantastic job on the 1200 DW mod and build. Glossed the rep DW to get it more gen like vs. the rep matte DW sheen.
