Yes D4M, but it was sight unseen. I'd rather put my faith in Greg rather than some of our other dealers, but that's my call and I don't necessarily suggest that anyone else should follow my lead. Greg tells me that my order is placed with supplier but I'm unsure as to whether they are ready to ship yet. Greg has posted some basic pics on his website; like I say, I'll post some pics as soon as it arrives. Wish me luck!

@tashaki
That's what I ordered.
No mail man yet!
@beefy
Looks like the Ti comes with a leather strap; color unknown.

It's arrived! Thanks Greg.

I'm no expert on PAM's so I've added a few comparison shots that you can take a look at.

CompareFront.jpg

Bad
1) The sub dial appears to be a little close to the center.
2) The sub dial 1/4 slots look a little small.
3) The Luminor Marina and Panerai seem to have good font but are too small. Note where they align with the 11 and 1.
4) The crown guard lever sits out from the watch body.
5) Not impressed with the Lume. The hands are OK. MOD required!

Good
1) Although you can't see it the L Swiss Made L looks good.
2) The pinion is flush. I've noticed that on the GEN some come with a black pinion and others seem to be silver. Not sure if this is true or just a trick of the light.
3) The crown thickness looks correct; 2.1mm
4) The numerals, while not perfect, seem to be the correct thickness. There is some shape variation; the 12 is a little out on the bottom left and the 6 has too much loop at the top. Next time I'll do the 10-10 thing; sorry.
5) The crown lever is not floppy when it's released.

CompareCrown.jpg

The protrusion of the crown above the guard seems correct but the guard top surface is not curved. I believe that it should be; please correct me if I'm wrong. I guess that is a MOD that I can do.

Nice swanneck and dagger. Incablock is correct. The Officine Panerai is the right size but slightly to the right. I guess this is probably a variable on the Gen though.

I would appreciate the comments of those of you 'in the know'. Let me know if you want more pics; I don't have a lightbox or stand so they come out a bit shaky. I prefer to spend my money on watches!

Overall I'm pleased. The watch feels light but substantial. IMO the titanium has a quality feel to it; much nicer than a polished finish. At my age it's nice to have a watch that I can read without glasses and I don't have to worry about setting the date even though I can rarely read it anyway.

Enjoy.

I'm just received one for a local guy as well.. I am just not real happy about everything.. some as mentioned above.. I expected more from this maker.
Did you look at the screws in comparison to the lug, they have them closer to being flush with the lugs than many other models..

I do not like the plug they put on the canon pinion. I will wait for my customer to remove it if he wants and if he does,, will report back if it is the taller canon pinion or not.

Can not be how could it be closer to the center it is a standard 6497 movement so i dont think they made a "speacil" version with closer to the center second pinion

There is some work to do on this model CG, Crown, relume, maybe replace the dial, replace the wrong caseback
And fore sure replace the hands!
These caped minute hands is just SCREAMS FAKE

Looks like the watch is from the same maker as the watches SEAD/Supper Mirrors offers on the geeks. Has also the strange CG and the capped hands but it is the 036 but i am sure the offered 036 will look the same

@SMC Not quite sure what you meant by 'both say stainless steel' but I know mine does; and it shouldn't!

The minute hand definitely has a 'plug', which I didn't realize at first (too quick to take some shots and post them I guess). What I fail to understand is why they would go to the trouble of inserting a plug when A) it's black B) its proud of the hand. I understand that the cost/time of fitting the H3 pinion may be unacceptable but would it not make more sense to insert a steel plug that is flush with the minute hand? I'm waiting on a PAM case back tool (nervous about using a rubber ball with a glass back even if it is marked S/S) and will try it myself. Here's the plan;

Take a taper pin and push it through the minute hand until it bottoms out. Mark the high point, stick it in a watchmakers lathe and part it off. Radius/polish whatever, and then cut to length. If this doesn't work I'll just stick some silver paint in there.

@PaneriaBob, I was referring to the relative position of the sub dial, not it's absolute position. Boy, some people can be so picky! There is obviously something wrong with the spacing. The center line of the sub dial should be much further left but, for the life of me, I can't see which part of the dial is the main offending part; any suggestions?

Anyone have a case back engraved 'Titanium'? D4M you help me out here? Prepared to pay ...

Not sure how I can fix the CG. I thought about shaving it back a little but that will require the slot to be deepened which might cause more visual problems than it fixes. Anyone have a spare chunk or TI laying around?

Not quite sure why I'm going to all this trouble since nobody I know has the remotest idea what a PAM is anyway!

Peter
