Not worth buying in gen

Those are some beautiful pics! The sheer number of Panerai on the list makes me never want to buy one! I have a couple of Panerai's on my short list. I just have to go into a store to try them on again. The last time I felt the 47 mm was a bit much. I have a 7.5" wrist. But I don't have the guns to pull it off. Maybe with long sleeves! Or I'll just have to stop doing compound work and focus on beach muscles for a bit.

I've been eyeing the PAM508 Ceramica for work. I won't have to worry as much about scuffing it up. I would just need to buy a rubber strap, and those things can get pricey! The PAM671 may be cool for work also. The Bronzo will look good over time as the patina develops.

You should easily be able to pull off a 47mm with your wrist size, since mine is only 7". The 508 is a fun piece, but if that's too big, try the 438, which is the ceramic luminor in 44mm. [emoji111]?

Yeah, that was basically the idea. You can keep discussin wherever you want, what's interesting is the consensus.

No I agree totally with you. We live in an age where we no longer even need to type on our keyboards to find instant information. We can just ask siri or Google.

I like to research very much but it can be very chaotic on the forums. The search function also doesn't work properly. Keeping that in light I think your work is exceptional!

There are many watches that fall into that category I think. I have about $1,100 into that JF LV, but there are many that I have that have much less into them, and even if I spend $300 on some mods, in addition to the cost of the watch, it is still not worth buying in Gen. You could theoretically argue that the Noob CHS Explorer 2 is not worth buying in gen as well. Yes, the movement is a time bomb, but the rest of the watch is very very good, and for about $700 you can get a Yuki with a GMT module installed, then it is perfect, for about $975... much less than a $5,000 gen. So for that reason, to me, the Explorer 2 is not worth buying in gen.

There is a Yuki with a GMT module???

This is what the pictures seem to show also. However v1 still looks like the best

Yep. I'll second that. Noob v1 remains the gold standard for BPFF. If only ZF's QC could be more consistent. You just never know what you're gonna get from that maker. [emoji57]

Interesting. I would rate the ZF BPFF at least as good as the almighty infamous superdupertrooper Noob V1. I don't want to break a discussion however.

Of course there's no gainsaying the fact that ZF did a superb job with its iteration of BPFF, but if there's no guarantee that what one buyer gets will be as good, quality wise, as the next guy's, therein lies the rub. That point is moot, my friend.

ZF do some great work I only have one of their watches and its great. Such a shame they have this reputation for inconsistency

I agree, I'm not going to roll the dice on something that I'm purchasing sight unseen. QC pics don't always tell the whole story. It's always going to be a dice roll, I'd rather improve my odds and go with someone other than ZF.

Well first ZF IWC rep was DOA. it was replaced by the dealer (after much angst on my part) and it works perfectly.

Thanks and of course, the thread that goes with it for those who want to participate : https://forum.replica-watch.info/threads/consensual-list-super-reps-nwbig.380405/

Again, these 2 threads are not doing the same thing so I think you're doing a mistake because you're trying to ovverride @timnic54 's work with my list when both lists are based on different criterias.

You should let this thread live on its own. Once again, they are not the same. NWBIG and Super Reps is not the same thing. Posting this here is just adding more confusion to this thread.

I'll just credit you in my thread, I wasn't aware that you worked on the original list too. You should have told me that. ;-)

We're all about reps! He borrowed from this thread. And now his list is being posted here. All kinds of reps!

Even though his list is different from this. Considering both lists are different, it would be far more interesting to see them evolve separately.

Post #115 in your thread. I've told you that in the first instance. I have even attached a screenshot of the post in this thread with the first ever list made, which I have created on the 18.09.2016!

I do not understand the point where you say that these 2 lists have different purposes other than pointing out to the community which reps are the best one.

Timnic54 started this thread with the idea of making a list of watches NWBIG, meaning that for that Gen watch exists a rep so well done that the gen is not worth buying.

Your list is more detailed, but in which way has a different purpose?

Same purpose. Imho a dispersion of efficiency keeping 2 discussions on the same matter. Please read my previous post.

Just read the first post of my thread.

If you don't understand what's the difference between NWBIGs of this thread and those in mine, I can't help you more.
