Not sure if I should get the UPO 42mm or UPO 45?

I'm not sure which one I want yet. I would rather have the 42 because my wrists are kind of small plus it comes with double AR... but, I've been reading on these forums that the UPO 45 is the best planet ocean so far. If I'm not mistaken, the 42mm and 45mm UPOs are exactly the same, correct? I don't see any differences in the photos. At puretime, the site says that the 4mm UPO has the correct logo, but doesn't say anything about having an updated dial.

they have different bezel

If you're used to big watches go for the 45mm otherwise, you'd better go to a AD and try both on, it's very personal.

Which one, in your opinion, is the most accurate? I've compared many photos and they both look perfect to me, but idk. This will be the 1st rep I'm buying, so I'm a complete newb to this world

I have the 42mm and the 45mm ( not ultimate PO) and Im inclined for the 45mm... I will sell both cheap reps and get one good 45mm

pete, they are both very accurate rep but if I hadn't a small wrist I'd buy a 45mm.
I like the bezel of the 45mm UPO better.

I used to wear 38mm watches because I too have a small wrist. But since I bought the UPO 45mm, I tend to buy big now. I agree with everyone saying you should go to your local AD and try both on.

My wrists are a little over 7.5in, but I tend to prefer watches 42mm or less. I'm perfectly comfortable in a 36mm watch.
Completely all about preference, & the trend these days is def toward large watches; so I don't think you would look odd or out of place (even with small wrists) in a 45mm watch. Now if you try for the 48mm Hublot diver you may illicit a few snickers or bugeyed stares :D

I have had both on my 7-5/8" wrist (After a couple of dirty Martini's) and the 42 is just more proportionate IMHO. I do wear the Panerai 243 and the Steelfish well though. The 42 PO for me is the clear winner.

If you go through PureTime, you'll be waiting a bit, the 45.5mm models seem to be sold out. Had to ask for a 42mm from Angus.

Sorry, newb question: Is the 45mm actually 45.5mm? Or is the 45.5mm a whole different size? I don't understand why they would make one that's .5mm larger?

The bezel on the 42mm doesn't bother me. I just don't want people noticing that my watch is a rep and thinking I'm some kind of cheapo or making fun of me.

Ah there are just so many different versions out, it's so hard to choose! :frusty:
I wish I could just buy them all LOL

I think the 42mm version is the best in my opinion, the watch wears larger than it look because of the SEL's size, is a large case if you see it right...
I would say just 42mm red numbers black bezel :D

That's the main problem with PO. Once you have choosen the size between 42 & 45, you begin to hesitate between organge or white numbers...

lol hardest decision is what po combo to choose, I had a 42mm in orange but it felt too small so I sold it and am looking to get a 45.5 in orange soon as well. I like the orange because its a bit different, its excellent to look at in real life, blacks seems boring and rolex like. I've only got 6.5" wrists and the 42 felt too small!

My wrist is about 8 inches in diameter and I don't find 45mm watches very comfortable at all. I'm more of a 40mm rolex guy. 42mm is kind of max for an everyday watch. That said, a 42mm PO is on my short list.

Beside the size and the feeling on wrist you have to consider that the 42 mm is easer to franken : just swap the parts. For the 45mm it is more complicated and need some mods... and those are not easy mods ....

Hi mate!

Heres mine 42mm. I used to own the 45, way too big for my 6.5 wrists.

Hope it helps!
