I am in love with the 127 again. It's been a couple years since Ive had one and I was lucky to make a deal right here on our wonderful forum. When it first arrived, I strapped it on and actually thought that I might not mod it at all and just wear it... its so beautiful as is. That didn't last too long... about 6hrs. Im trying to stop myself from spending too much on this one, but I have a feeling I'm going to be pouring all the Swiss I can into it, down to a chronometer grade balance assembly. It still needs a lot of attention, whether its refinishing or just cleaning, but I love it no matter what. I also have a beautiful custom made Rocco strap on it's way home, hopefully before the end of the weekend.

Enjoy the pics, Im sure there will be plenty more, since I just can't stop looking at this thing.

I've only done a few minor things so far... Incabloc mod, longer MM screw and flat headed screws for the crown/ratchet wheels.

Nice, it will be a pleasure to observe the progression with Swiss parts.

It's so funny. I lusted after a Fiddy for so long and then when I got one, I was like "meh"
I'll try again soon because they look so cool in pics
Enjoy it!

This is my feeling with the fiddy as well. I dunno. I like 47mm and all, but I try to love this given how much everyone else loves the fiddy and I just can't. Maybe I need to see one on the wrist for myself to truly love it?

nonetheless I can't wait to see the mods Strodda does to this. Perhaps after he's done I'll love it and offer him a kings ransom for it. :)

Thanks all. It definitely is a beauty mods or not. It might not be for everyone, but it is one that I think everyone should try... just not this one in particular ;)

I have a 7.25" wrist. It is a little big, but the slim case helps and it definitely isnt bulky like a Super Avenger. And having a 26mm strap, it wears very balanced. Unlike something like a DSSD with a heavy chunky case and tiny bracelet.

Threads like this just adds on to my burning pain.

My Merlin and NCchef modded Noob 127E with a WSO xtal never made it to me (seems to have gotten lost in the mail) $1000+ :poof:

You got a stunning watch their mate. Enjoy it and wear it in good health.

I am in love, this thing is now perfect, minus a few movement things. Nubuck antique saddle...

My Fiddy modification passed through Marlin first, then I found some OEM parts, so it is Fiddy Franken now. I was surprised at how close the rep dial is to the gen dial: almost makes the gen dial superfluous, like a good rep should.

One way to overcome the post-honeymoon phase with the Fiddy is to start making Fantasy Fiddies:
Plexi Glass (mildly domed, to emilinate distortion, and be able to appreciate the dial more)
Relumed, refinished rep dial. (C3 lume, matte finish)
Polished, refinished mid-case (to make it shine, and to make it float better)

That strap is amazing....this is pure watch p0rn..Wow....I say it again Wow!!

Thanks! I do love this combo. An exotic nubuck might not be the best match technically for a historic piece like the Fiddy, but its ok by me... I'm totally sprung on this piece.

Here are a couple updated pics. As it sits currently, I think it's done... unless I can think of other stuff I want to do to it. Now, after the movement mods, it has the following:

-Swiss gear train(barrel/mainspring, center wheel, third wheel, second wheel, escape)
-Swiss keyless, setting gears, minute/hour wheel and cannon pinion
-Swiss ratchet and crown wheels
-Incabloc mod
-Longer micrometric screw(actual, not cut and glued)
