Can we compare V6 with JF version (and gen if possible)... seems like FC effects on on JF case version is more pronounced

JF V5 A3120 has white hands. given that the date fonts are now the same, it boils down to the preferred movement, A2824 or the Miyota.

Also, many has pointed out the better case finishing and crystal that JF has to offer. The V5 might be the winner here.

I don't know man .... love the JFs BUT those stupidly loud miyotas are a deal breaker!

I'm leaning towards a noob v4 (with x2AR xtal, as the stock noob xtal is shit).

I've ordered from Ken and I'm awaiting my QC pics. It's a shame about the date font that's what pushed me towards wanting the noob version. I've got the v7 stainless diver from Jf and it's amazing but decided to get the noob. Prof has x2 AR crystals though to install in this model and powermatic 80 for the future maybe.

mate, the miyota on my V5 is rather silent. This really depends on how much the factory has oiled the watch. When it comes to other miyota rep, some of mine sounded more like a moving locomotive!

I would be more keen to know if the case construction of both watches came from the same source! There have been comments from members stating how JF is much better than Noob in the quality of the FC case.

^I've got/had x2 JF 15400s. They look amazing and the quality is unbelievable BUT the miyota rotor sound is embarrassing. Lol.

It's the same with my miyota powered omega reps. The free-spinning rotor sounds like shit.

I've tried lubeing the rotor with grease (Seiko specs) but with limited success only.

I like to hold my watches in the hand (from time to time) to give them a little shake to feel the heft.....do that with a miyota and it sounds like a busted lawn mower. Lol.

right now I can't even look at an eff'ing miyota.

I read somewhere that there is only x1 FC case manufacturer? If so, the case quality should be the same (regardless of noob, JF, v6 etc).

I own two Omega/Miyota watches and no problems with the rotor.
My Noob Safari is super noisy. And my Patek too.

What makes you say the JF case looks better mate?

It's practically impossible to judge different cases unless they are pictured in exactly the same setting, lighting etc.

Also, didn't guru say that the cases all come from the same supplier?

I take it you and chris are proud noob diver owners... I understand your sentiment. It would be awesome to see a side by side comparison between LATEST Noon and JF FC divers. IMHO they look a bit different.
Also, if you have an older Noob (before Dec 15), why do you even think it's the same watch as the new noob? We all know about much reshuffling at Noob factory, so it'd be naive to think we are getting consistent quality through this merger... I asked Ryan @ Intime of his personal opinion and he said that in his view JF is still superior... his words, not mine.

Nope.

I don't own either noob or JF.

Just trying to objectively work out which one has the better details.

It's confusing when "proud owners" say one mid-case is better than the other, without substantiating the comments.

Anyways, I'm bored of researching this shit. Will buy both and see for myself.

I have owned both and the jf on mine was definitely nicer in finish but may have been lucky as they all differ .. Best answer so far is from mech 500 .and buy both ! Sell the one you don't like as much which I might do myself

Been wanting to post this but have been busy with all the holiday stuff! Here's the latest Noob FC Diver received less than a week ago!

So far its keeping good time, but dont really know why the date starts changing around 11:50 pm and completes at 12:10 am? Not sure well as my Diver v7 changed dates at 12 am.

Anyways here are some pics! Belated Merry Christmas to everyone

EDIT: date change starts from 11:30 pm and changes at 11:45 pm.

looks beautiful mate, btw about the date changes the range is between 11:30 to 12:30. that means yours is good.

Thanks for the kind words! The 2nd FC Diver I got for my friend changes date @12 which is why I feel odd that mine changed so early.

Anyone know if I could get it regulated or something so that it changes date @12?

the date wheel just needs to be re-aligned a common fault on reps.
