Based on what I have seen on PTs website, the bezel construction appears to be gen.

Yes it does and it fits together much better than the bp. Also the noob uses the correct gasket and not a thicker one like the bp.

Botsyboy, having owned the prototype, what's your opinion on the rep crystal? Is it worth going gen right away? I believe you had a gen xstal on yours if I remember correctly.

Also,

Is the rep crown sufficient? The spacing between the rep cg's appears to be a bit tighter than the gen.

The crystal is not perfect and nothing beats gen!
I did have a gen crystal on mine. It is a bit too blue in rep form.
The cg's are slightly tight but the biggest issue with the rep crown is it sits too tight to the case whereas a gen crown has a small gap. I have a gen crown on the rep tube at the moment. Sorry I don't have pics as the watch is not with me at the moment.

The noob dw is perfect. This one has bp markers and hands.

For whatever its worth my BP Crystal did not sit to high and I didn't make any modifications to it. I think it is just hit or miss...
