NOOB DIW Carbon Black Daytona

Has anyone had the back off one of these new EMERALD versions to verify the appearance and condition of the movement? Is it clean, engraved, quiet, etc like Noobs? Is winding smooth, and the chronos work well?

Thinking about pulling the trigger on one. I'm not bothered by the rehaut. The rehauts on the new ones are unquestionably inferior in both font style and placement but at the price listed by Jtimewatch in these post raid days it's not a dealbreaker IMO. If the rehaut wasn't black it would be a different story.

I was falling in love with this version… if I see that some gen diw watches has the same on the back like on mine, everything is ok for me.

Screws are not gen like… but it’s the only flaw in my opinion.

I think the regular screws are actually better. I've looked a lot for a tool that will fit the reverse torx heads on the MOTIEY (not MOTLEY, d'oh) casebacks and so far no luck. The problem is not only are they small heads but also they are recessed so the socket wall has to be ultra thin.

I feel like because the rehaut is this bad, together with the other inconsistencies in the caseback as well, leads me to believe that these were hastily put together...

yes no luck as well, however a watchsmith i know had used a tool like the H screw bezel for Hublot or the springbar tool with some electrical tape on the screw to protect it

Watch winds smooth, rotor is like my other noob movements and the chrono works really fine. Has anyone a picture of the gen diw cream rehaut?

Looks like the pattern of the inner subdial is wrong also, it should be a circular 'brushed' finish, but the rep has like a circular 'ribbed' sunburst pattern. Although it was wrong pre-raid also.

I actually like the ribbed subdial centers on the rep better. The outer subdial rings on the gen look like they have some carbon fiber color strains though.

In addition, the teeth on the pushers look deeper/more aggressively cut pre-raid then post. And the CG shape post-raid, seems to curve outwards, away from the crown whereas Noob CG's are straight and pointier. For some reason the carbon weave seems different, so not sure if there was a change in manufacturing process or the source material is different.

I have weight the watch. Only Stunning 54 Gramms. I hope clean will release other diw versions with a good 4130 superclone. With luck dengong produce more of 4130.

I have three noob daytona movements, one of the v4, one v2 and the one from the diw. All are quiet without any rotor noice on wrist, Winds really smooth, keeping time excellent and running good on chrono since first day.
It could be that not all parts from old noob batch, but this watch is amazing works fine, with 4130 movement. If you have the money and you like the watch grab you one…

Yup that engraving looks like it was done by hand for sure. Look at those letters.
