This is great except that I have 4 of them to get done adding to $1000AU in total. Exceeds my pain threshold for a bezel mod unfortunately. Especially for watches I'd be lucky to wear once a month. Anyone had this or something similar done by a jeweler in Australia? Please PM me if you have.

Every Noob gets his first sub from BK. lol. According to BKs section, he doesn't even fit the eta himself! The watch comes like that to him (presumably from his TD?) and he just does "alignment as required." Everyone assumes he "builds" the watches (lol) but i am guessing his TD sends him the best QC watches in the first place....so theoretically he doesn't have to do any rework himself.

Exactly! And guess what that BK watch has stopped after some time, it was some kind of small piece of steel or something inside the "Swiss" ETA, so long for someone taking extra care since you paid for a premium.. anyway this is who he is and what he does.. by the way that watch was for my wife and she really was upset when it stopped working and she couldn't wear anymore so it costed me a gen Rolex 116200 the summer after that [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

Yup. Old ETA from China.
But he's 'a true artist' (apparently)

I've never bought anything from him or any of his pieces from anyone.

Long story short -

I did however make the mistake of asking him to clean something up for me. $350 and many weeks later, I got back a clean but non working watch. He threw his hands up, and offered no help to fix it.

Here's another interesting fact if you haven't seen his thread on water proofing. He basically says he will charge you and check for water proofing. If it does not pass, he is not an insurance company and will not do anything for you. Too bad...

Do not buy "Swiss ETA"s from chinese people they are not new. Old "fixxed" movements which could be much more unstable than the clone ones.

Sorry not trying to high-jack Spongbob's thread here, but I think this is important info as a noob who has had BK recommended to him and also read several threads listing him as the person to purchase a sub from now that TC is out. Is there a more viable option for us noobs, and even none noobs, out there that we should know about? I feel like if there are real issues with BK and the services he offers they shouldn't be hidden away in this thread. Like I said before not trying to high jack, I am definitely going to pursue this mod in the future.

I have a BK. It is currently with Domi for a service because it stopped. I put that down to it doing some serious air miles for various mods. I am curious about the movement and whether it is as described after reading those comments.....

I thought we talk about spongbob’s great work here and not about BK’s?

Wow, platinum plating is way to go rather than go gen!
