So does the Muc off Dry lube still work if you shower or clean the watch after bath or swim?

I have tried different things and most REP gets smoother with use.
However a baby oil bath for 24 hours does the trick. Wash with soap afterwards. Don’t wear a white shirt first day after use as the bracelet will “leak” dirty oil.

Ok I can confirm muc off dry lube works a treat! I just bought some place the watch in a clear plastic bag and covered all the links from both sides and massaged in a little and then let it sit for a little bit and then wipe the excess off, kinda flicked and lurking residue off and then used another clean rag and the bracelet feel much smoother and even tried it on the older style bracelet that is known for being a bit rattley and even that feels much nicer. I’m sure baby oil will do the same, I just though dry lube might be a bit better as it’s meant to be a lube for metal

An overage of thought with a lack of concern.

I did this to a shitty Thorn BB58 homage bracelet and it worked great until i gave it away.
1. Disassemble the bracelet and ultrasonic clean / lightly boil it with a light ammount of dish soap.
2. Dry the parts completely
3. Reassemble with: loctite, vaseline, q-tips, and heat gun. Heat the parts to as warm as you can still hold in your hand.
Loctite the threaded tip, thin layer of vaseline behind it on the smooth part of the pin.
4. After reassembly, put it in the refridgerator for a few minutes. 5min is plenty.
5. Wipe down the bracelet with a microfiber, add a spray of iso-alcohol to remove fingerprint/oil stains and excess vaseline.
You will need to wipe it down again once or twice more over the next few days as some vaseline may leak out, but after that it will be properly lubed and buffered to feel swiss for a while.

The muc off dry lube seems to leave a wax like finish, seems very similar to the ceramic style car wax so when it dries it leaves a slick surface that should last quite a while
