Hi all,

I was told by a TD that this watch is no longer made (for some time).
Does that mean no TD will be able to source it?

How do I know in the future if a watch is made or not, so that I don't have to pester TDs?

(PS, if anyone knows where I can find one, that would also be great information!)

Thanks,
Ben

Hello and welcome to RWI!

I noticed that this is your first time posting on RWI. You are welcome to introduce yourself in the new members area in the "New members say hi" sub section.

If you haven't already, please take some time to read the sticky threads in the new members area (in all subsections), as they contain lots of information for newcomers and, most importantly, our forum rules which you need to know, and of course ideally to follow, to get the best out of your experience on RWI!

A good starting point is this list of links to the most important RWI resources:

Also this please read this important sticky:

If you need further assistance, please feel free to contact me or @Feefo during your time as a newbie. That's what we are here for!

I got constantly frustrated at not being able to predict when a factory was going to stop making certain models, and embarrassed that I was irritating TDs with my constant badgering, so I took evening classes in clairvoyance. Works like a charm, I highly recommend it.

Unfortunately you can never know. The market is dictated primarily by demand for a given model in China. If demand dries up there- they stop making it and move on to the next big thing.

Your best bet is to comb the member to member (M2M) section was well as post in WTB
( Want to buy).

Be very cautious when shopping via the WTB route- the potential for someone preying on your desire for this watch with a scam is significant.

Best of luck- post the watch if you find one!

Thanks guys - I think sticking to the more popular models will be my answer until I'm more familiar with the roads to travel.
Clairvoyance was never my strong suit, after buying into Crypto at the end of they hype!

@Onepickledginger I think the Spectre will be my second choice for now, unless something else pops up during my travels.

Mind if I ask which factory yours was from? How'd you get on with it?

It was a VSF. Great watch and the jump hour functionality was a nice touch. Sold it because I had (and still currently have) too many damn watches.

Ho, welcome to the RWI forum.
The best way to know when/if a particular model is still produced is frequenting the forum and participating to the discussions. There's members who know a lot and there's even TDs with live threads you can ask directly without pm'ing them.

Well Remembered, thanks for the thought!

He's quite explicit that he won't ship outside the US though (I'm in the UK).
Will certainly keep an eye on them for reference :D

Already weighing up my first from a TD too, just making sure I've done my due diligence

I’ll second what someone else said and recommend going with the VSF spectre version with the lollipop seconds and brushed bracelet.

The older model is hard to find and the spectre is still available and an awesome watch, I’ve got both.

I came here looking for an answer to the exact same question! I've tried searching, but only come up with the Spectre version (and, what can I say, I'm stuck on the blue dial).
This thread seems to imply that there used to be a blue one in circulation. If that's the case, does anyone have information on it?
Thank you for any information!

The TLDR is to keep an eye on the M2M market, and maybe post in the WTB pages (Credit to @Pinion Minion )
