Hi, I am newbie to the forum. I’m UK based avid watch fan having bought a few genuine watches over the last 20 years. However, I am new to the world of clones and replicas.

Apologies if these questions have already been asked but I’m looking for advice on the best options for getting a 1:1 watch that’s a good clone. I don’t have the skills or contacts to do mods so, ideally would like the best ‘out of the box’ options.

I understand Noob ones are good but, what other ones should I consider?

Which of the AD are the most recommended for delivery and service to UK?

Any other tips and advice on payments, customs, paperwork, boxes etc would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

A good place to start learning. Would be here: https://forum.replica-watch.info/forums/rolex-tudor-replicas.153/

There are plenty of reviews and opinions about Daytonas. You will need to decide what factory works best for you. While most would say Clean is the best option, others have had luck with other factories. Take a look around, I’m sure you will find the right one for you.
If you have your heart set on a Noob, you will need to look in the M2M section as Noob is long since gone so second hand is the only option there.
Cheers.

Hi and welcome.
Last piece of advice, any TD can sort the the watch, it's your pick. Check out their shipping and return policies and payment methods and find the one that fits your requirements.
Supermirrors has stock in UK, you'd avoid custom risk and long delivery time, check it out in his section.

Hi, thanks for the warm welcome and details. I am new to the world of clones and this forum. I will have a search but, I don't know if anyone has already done a comparison between 1:1 super clones of Daytona 115620 model from the likes of Clean V2, Noob etc? If so, is there a link to this Thread?

Forget noob, isn't anymore unless you score something in M2M. There should be plenty of information in the Rolex section, you can use Google by adding "...site:forum.replica-watch.info" to your query. I'm unsure about steel daytonas, if it was a ceramic bezel I'd say go for clean or btf, but for steel you may have other options as well.

Thanks for feedback. It’s a pity about Noob. I will look at the Clean and BFT ones you have suggested. I didn’t know if anyone has already been the comparisons and save the time in asking the same questions if it’s already been covered? I understand the qualities are evolving so, it’s a bit of moving feast to keep up with the latest 1:1 clones.

I’ll do some some more searching on the forum and see if there’s a thread on this particular watch 115620?

That's what this hobby is about, researching and finding out what is the best option for you. Ask the community on 2 different options and you'll get 4 different opinions.

I don't know about the black dial, but for the white one I have a good friend who took a clean base and installed an arf dial, which is said to be better. According to his own assessment, he actually couldn't see much difference in the two dials. But the case is different, arf is thicker. I got the "spares" (arf case, clean dial), and someone asked in the eyecandy thread if it was a gen dial. So you see, it's really minute details sometimes

It’s a pity about Noob.

It was a pity for exactly 4 and a half months (or so, could have been a bit more 😆) until Clean dropped their Daytona (which is overall superior).

The rep scene was extremely dynamic in the last 10 years from what I understand. New factories popping up all the time on a mission to make themselves a name, already established factories releasing new versions with exciting updates like going from a decorated Miyota to close-to-the-real-thing clone movements and exciting stuff like that.

Even despite the current post-Covid difficulties putting a strain on supply chains, it's still an absolutely perfect time to start engaging in the rep scene because reps are now advanced to a degree incomparable to just the recent past.

It's simply exciting for rep fans and I would even argue that it's an interesting topic for a gen-only person to follow, because it has never been so hard to identify a rep watch as it is now. Lots of important stuff to learn, because what worked relatively easy in the past to identify a rep is now completely obsolete.

You're spot on. I am one of those people that has only ever purchased gen watches over the last 20 years but, the quality of the clones is so good now it's really got me interested. Also, with some of the gen brands the AD's have got so difficult to deal with, trying to obtain a specific model like the Daytona is just hard work (not to mention the huge expense)

As someone, who alternates the watches I wear, I really like the idea of getting a good 1:1 clone of this Daytona 116520 Black dial. The issue for me is finding one that meets the criteria without having to do the mods (as I don't have the skills) and my gen service agent won't touch the clones.

The task at hand is to find the best 1:1 clone or find someone that can do mods in the UK that has a good reputation. In that case, I would look to buy the best possible one and make some minor mods as and when finances allow?

So, now I have to find a good super clone? Possibly the Clean V2 and also find a person that does mods in based in the UK?

Any suggestions?

Any suggestions?

Easy. For a Clean Daytona, you simply pick any of our TDs from our TD section. You can pick the one whose reviews you like, or has the most appealing web site. Or perhaps their name resonates with you. Or you think their logo is pretty. 😆

Doesn't matter.

They ALL will source the watch from the exact same supplier. Also, prices are almost if not exactly identical...

For a modder, you look in the mods / repair section. We have plenty of modders in Europe. Thanks to Brexit, access to EU modders is more difficult, but not impossible, but I believe there are plenty of UK options available... Just ask in aforementioned section if you can't locate one yourself.

Here’s a curve ball question. Has anyone produced a 1:1 clone of Daytona 126509 (originally in White Gold) but in Steel, with the same dial as the White gold version?
See photo…

That's a question for the brands/Rolex section. Repost it there... Here in the NMA, it's too hidden and with little exposure to the experienced Rolex crowd. 😉

PS: There's no such thing as a "1:1 replica" or "1:1 clone", despite the advancements in the rep industry. We don't use this term. It's only marketing speak...

There's only one true form of "1:1", and it's called "genuine" or "gen". 😆

Thanks I’ve re-posted there as per your suggestion

Just a quick question, regarding the Trusted Dealers - is there a list which ones (if any) are UK based or have UK stocks?

I’m based in the UK so they may avoid any customs issues
