Today was a day to wear a dream of mine since I was a kid...
...Actually this model was the very first one that got my attention and made me fall in love with Rolex. When I was at my 10yo or so, and saw a shiny watch on a display, grabbing my eyes as nothing else had ever done before, and after asking my father what watch was that, I got to know about its existence: Rolex.

From that day and ahead, if you ever talked to me about watches, that would be the name that would be in my mind, until I was grown up enough to find out what model (Day-Date President) had gotten so much attention of mine, and became a grail to me.

After some time collecting, I have finally got to add part of this dream to the watchbox, or at least the first part of it, as it surely won´t be alone there - the Platinum Day-Date II was awaiting for its arrival - and for the future, more Day-Dates surely will join the party along the life line, ´til the day a GEN will take place on the collection as the jewel of the crown. :)
...of course, in the same configuration: Full yellow gold, with Champagne Dial.

Wearing my OM with the new strap; not happy with it in person. I think it looks good in pics but just not on me. Looks too narrow, especially since it tapers.

I guess I'll swap the bracelet back on.

WOW!!!

Nice Ivicta Diver, mate. I have one, too; and from a short distance, it's been mistaken for the Submariner. Nice, dependable piece.

WOW!! THAT'S an elegant, sophisticated-looking piece, Spirit -- and very shiny, too; and THAT captures my interest. Always a treat to drool over your watches. Thanks!

Since Rollies are so well recognized would rather wear the Invicta around the office rather then someone asking if my sub is "real"

Very nice variety this week. Lots which don't show up here very often. I'll throw another in the mix.
