New watch enthusiat

Hello everyone, I'm Laxatiz. Used to work in the watch industry for SwatchGroup when I was young, but nowadays I work in engineering.

I obviously developed a big passion for watches, and my favorite brands are the obvious Patek, RM and AP, but also a big fan of Jaeger-Lecoultre and Jaquet-Droz.

Always wanted to have either an Aquanaut or RO as my first real purchases, unfortunately despite having the money to buy them, going through the hoops to get an allocation is really not something I'm looking forward to, and being a nobody I probably wouldn't even get an allocation in years.

Regardless, recently stumbled upon this morning and excited to learn about the opportunities in the replica world. Will probably start my journey by ordering one of the big three (AP, Patek and RM), so any suggestion or advice is appreciated.

Hi, interesting CV.
Don't take my words for set in stone, I sometimes confuse stuff, especially 3-word acronyms won't stay long in my head, but you can start looking at:
AP: ZF or APSF
PP: 3KF or PPF for nautilus, aquanaut, ZF for classic calatravas.
But you have to do some reading ti understand the differences between the factories, that will be your individual choice.

Sorry, I don't like RM and have no idea of the possibilities there.

Nobody will be able to tell the difference and you save a lot of money.

Err thanks but frankly the RM knock offs (Invicta but many other brands) look quite unappealing to me...

Head over to our RM section then.

RM reps are among those that made quite the progress in the last 2 to 3 years.

However, if I'm not mistaken, that progress came from a state of rather mediocre RM reps, so you'll still have to live with more obvious flaws compared to Rolex or Omega reps, for example.

While I think RMs are butt ugly, they are pretty stellar in regard to their in-house movements and the extremely fancy materials they use, so naturally it's not easy for the Chinese factories to replicate the high level of technology and materials for prices of merely around $1000.
