Initially I was a bit surprised the factories didn't launch the P.9000 V2 movement first (with the gen functions) before the P.9001 V2. Then I thought about it. VSF just relaunched a lot of the P.9000 based PAMs. There might be more interest in releasing previously unupdated reps with the P.9001 than the P.9000. Let's see, shall we?
For P.9000: (I am excluding all Sealion PAMs as I am doubtful there would be any real interest in them)
PAM312 - released
PAM328 - unreleased
PAM351 - released
PAM352 - unreleased
PAM359 - released
PAM364 - unreleased (super rep)
PAM382 - released
PAM386 - released
PAM388 - released
PAM389 - unreleased
PAM505 - unreleased
PAM508 - unreleased (super rep)
PAM523 - unreleased
PAM569 - unreleased (super rep)
PAM571 - unreleased (super rep)
PAM607 - unreleased (super rep)
PAM616 - released
So for the P.9000 movement, only 7/17 reps have been re-released using the P.9000 rep movement. Even though 5 of the remaining 10 are classified as super reps already, this would cement their super rep status both in form and function. Then out of the remaining 5, 2 of them are bracelet versions of the other 2 models. The remaining 3; namely the PAM389, PAM505 and PAM523, have potential to be super reps once updated.
For P.9001:
PAM320 - released
PAM329 - unreleased
PAM438 - unreleased
PAM441 - released
PAM535 - unreleased
PAM688 - unreleased
PAM719 - released
In comparison, only 3 out of the 7 P.9001 based PAMs have been released using the P.9001 rep movement which leaves 4, of which one is just the bracelet version of the another. That leaves at least 2, namely the PAM438 and the PAM535 which could be super reps once fitted with the V2 movement.
Then again, there is a large portion of the market which does not obsess over the details like we do, so the factories can unload all of the P.9000/P.9001 V1 stock to them and re-release the new ones to our delight (and to the demise of our wallets). :lmao:
