There has been no release of a new VRF sub as far as I know. New models have been far and few between thanks to COVID-19

Why did they use the 2936 in the bi metal and not the vr 3135?

That autowind is filthy, lots of debris. Seems it would have been simple enough to wipe it off b4 taking the photo.

When I was looking at the VRF Max Batman on Puretime I said the same thing about the filthy looking movement. Some others also commented on it. I usually have good luck with VRF so I was surprised and a bit leery.
I’m a little slow to get going when ordering so when checking back a few weeks later I noticed a new (?) factory called RRF, I noticed Puretime had the exact same pictures of that filthy movement for the RRF watch as well. So as we’ve heard before, you can’t always trust the pictures on a TD website to be accurate as far as the finer details may be concerned.
I haven’t gotten around to opening the back of my VRF yet but everything is working well so I’m in no hurry.
