what about the L Swiss Made L

I can't tell from your pictures--

Is your dial a replacement dial with the L Swiss Made L spaced further from 6, or is it the rep OEM dial but with a little more than usual spacing (anything other than touching is a big improvement IMO).

i am in the process of moving.... but when i can get a free moment i'll take pics...

i have the 177H on a honey ostrich deployant and it is bananas....

the best part about these upgraded models? i was at breakfast with a business associate who has a gen 111H (he loves wearing it around me to tease me) and he asked to see mine once i told him it was a newer upgraded model.... after about a minute of comparing the two, his only words were, "i can tell the small differences but they are $4k worth of differences... and that s*** ain't right"

it was also priceless when the waitress commented how we had the same watch but she liked my strap better!

You tell me. Here are the pictures.

Comes with thick crown, cannon pin fix, CG fit to case, CG lever tight, flush cg pin, superlume, swiss movement w/thick dagger, AR sapphire.

I am glad you are happy with your watch.

Guys please, I am not in this to compete with dsn i make my watches and he makes his, that is really how i feel about it.

Dsn i a great watch maker who inspired me to do something similar for US based customers.

please try to keep comparison's to a minimum.

Those are my sourced dials, i wish i could get them with better spacing.

other than that the font is good size and correct and the dials are nice and thick.

Thank you

love the watch

don't get me wrong-- the dial is really very nice and a huge improvement over my oem.

i'm not quite crying as i am comparing the modded details to my unmodded 177h, but i am fighting back the tears

would definitely have gone straight for this version if i had had the foresight.

TW you do aftermarket mods too, right?

I respect the attitude of Thumb. I am certainly not on here to start anything with Davidsen. He is a nice guy and I have purchased items from him and will in the future.

The point is that people often are looking for the best value for their money and I could have purchased a DSN 177H but wanted to give TWA a try. Now that I have the watch in hand, I wanted to see what others thought about the final result.

Looking at the DSN upgraded 177H, it appears as though the CG lever is centered, however, it looks like that is because the CG itself is thicker with the extra going to the top. In the pictures, it looks as though the CG is thick enough that it is flush with the top of the case instead of being stepped down. As a result, it looks like the top two corners peak out from the case a bit much and create a shadown in the pictures. I don't know if this is something that could be corrected or not.

The crystal also appears to stick up from the bezel a decent amount. The watch I have has only the slightest perceptible crystal edge sticking up from the bezel.

None of the pictures show the L Swiss Made L so it is hard to tell if that is better or worse than mine.

The dial fonts look similar. It is impossible to tell from the pictures but perhaps they are slightly different.

It is also possible that the gap between the P and A on the movement are slightly tighter on the DSN version which would be closer to gen. But I can't be sure from the angle of the pictures. The text grouping on the movement appears to be spaced out towards the outside edge of the movement similarly to mine which is not accurate to the gen.

So far this is the best I can tell for a comparison of the two watches.
