It's not so much the 51 mm case size, it's the almost 29 mm height that makes me feel as though it's unwarable to most people. If it didn't have a 10 mm thick crystal than I don't think there would be much of an issue. I have a fair number of larger watches including Panerai and breitling and I've owned other even larger pieces in the past. The case diameter is not an issue even going up into the upper 40s and lower 50s. Where I always ran to trouble was if it was too tall I would whack it on everything.

Exactly. I have couple of friends with 22+ cm wrists and they wear big watches as well, for already mentioned reasons (proportion to the rest of the body being one), but the overall proportions of this new Deepsea, especially the hight, makes it a clown piece to 99%.

That being said, if someone is 220cm and 160kg, I can easily imagine him sporting this and not looking bad.

I wouldn't say 99%, but "most people," but your statement is otherwise spot on. Most people cannot wear a watch like this or an Egi Grosso without looking ridiculous. And even those few who can pull it off, won't wear it as a daily, that's for sure. I wear my monsters maybe twice each per year, to occasions that warrant it.
About a month ago I did business with a 76 year-old chap who was a self-made Deca-millionaire. He made Keith Richard look like a choir boy, so much "stuff" he had dangling around both his wrists and his neck. That's one of the occasions when I wore my Zlatoust, and I looked seriously underdressed compared to him. Well, I made over $20K that day and gained a friend, so it was all worth it.

For the rest of you, google "marriage watch" on eBay and you'll see it's a thing. It may not be your thing, but it's definitely a thing for some people to have a large watch with a GEN Patek or Omega movement, even if it's a pocket watch movement. After all even the Rolex 618 is nothing but the same, and it powers GEN wristwatches costing a quarter million dollars.

I wear a lot of gold and other things on me as well, thats not really the point here. I dont judge ppl based on what they have on them, but how they conduct themselfs. And your arguments are well put together and make sense, so Im happy to converse. :)

Zlatoust is an interesting choice, but I guess when we’re there, it doesnt really matter if uboat, zlatoust, or a custom build with a pocket watch movement (had a few myself and have a friend who specializes in building them).
Still they are about half as thick as this deepsea, so wearability is elsewhere.

I mean wear whatever makes you happy, I dong judge, nor do I care, its everyones personal choice and taste, everybody else can kiss that persons arse. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

What I love about watches is precisely this. Even difference in opinions, or perhaps especially that, gives an opportunity for an interesting conversations and friendships. As you wrote yourself, you gained a friend.

And I think thats just the best thing ever in this hobby. :)
