Yes, the bezel doesn't have the recessed/engraved numerals and inlay. And this is not a vsf but it was the same model watch so I posted here thinking I'd just get feedback from knowledgeable omega enthusiasts.
I had read through this thread pretty extensively (as well as watched vids -https://youtu.be/-wooQt_8QNM [looks like the same bezel to me but could be lighting]) on gens and read other threads before buying.
In this thread I came across a number of watches with the silver numbers on the bezel that were not inlayed. (there was even a discussion on it early on in this thread but I see now that was the triangle where the pearl is and the silver/Grey stripe around the inner edge of the bezel.
All the bezels with orange numbers seem to be recessed though. And while I liked the grey numbers in the pics more, now that I have it, I've sort of changed my mind on that 1 aspect. The orange adds a nice pop of color.
But I did look at the bezel and while a number of models did have the engraved #s on the bezel, I thought many (particularly silver) did not.
I am noticing now that it's in hand, that the dial looks a little more matte than the gen.
Or a lot more matte.
And things like these are exactly what I meant when I mentioned learning so much more/quicker once a watch is in hand. I appreciate the feedback.
I got this watch from toro at a really good price (but now I'm beginning to understand/wonder why). Although I did post QC pics with some questions and was informed by several people that the watch looked good - which gave me some confidence in giving the "ok" (especially as my first Omega).
Also, I just Google how Omega measures their case size and found a post saying 2 to 8 o'clock. 43.5 perfect.
