Just bought a skeleton movement and a skeleton dial. but I don't know which case set to choose

Does sanding the rehaut requires the removal of the plexi? Someone please help thanks!

Be careful with your choice of strap the lugs are short and a strap 4-5mm will damage the leather of your strap.

It's not the strap thickness that ultimately matters, but the thickness around the lugs, where the pins and tubes are attached.
Depending on the construction of the strap, especially if its custom made, that part can be easily thinned down, providing a good fitment. I'm currently using an oiled-up rep asso, which just fits but you can see that the strap gets some drag/friction from the case anyway.

Salt and lemon bath for the case, dial aged with cold tea. Still a working progress but happy with it so far.

Sorry for getting up this old thread, but can someone of the owners please tell me if the case is real bronze?
I've seen a lot of pics because I really want to get a slob myself (hope I can find one in europe..), and the aging of those non PVD'd case reminds me of brass in almost every picture.
No copper typical greenish stains, more the matt brown/grey oxidation of brass.
I'm a bit confused, so I hope somebody with knowledge about the materials can help me out and finally identify if it's brass, bronze or a alloy with really low copper.

After getting back from Vac, I lightly aged the case. Now the edges and corners reveals the bronze. Also installed a custom Tritium strap with a sewn in Elias buckle.

What a blast! Do you have any pics done by daylight? And what exactly were Vacs ageing measurements?


The combination with the strap makes it - for my money - one of the most beautiful panerai combos I've seen so far.
