That's exactly how I feel. With some exceptions such as the recent developments servicing the sec @6 iwc's from domi.This is like getting the the seams of your cheap jeans re-sewn after you bought them, before they might unravel ...
I for one will enjoy the watch as long as I can, wear it and love it ... when it breaks, time for a service.

Light was not good so sorry for the bad picture.
Mine arrived today and I fitted the Gen dial. Dial feet are in a different position but otherwise it fits perfectly.
The rep dial is very good and the difference is minimal but the Gen just does look nicer. I would say it doesn't need it but it is an improvement.
The case is superb with nice sharpe edges like a Gen. The movement looks very good and well made. It is certainly nothing like the 3714 movement. Ok it is different to the gen but it looks quality. AR is good and the right hue but perhaps not quite as anti reflective but that is nitpicking. Gen dial or not this is one very nice offering and ZF (prob YL also) have done a great job.

Thanks for the awesome review, the gen dial looks beautiful! Congrats! I have a question about the movement: Is the rotor noisy or is it comparable to other rep movements (for example, A7750 or A2824/36)?
Anyone knows the specifications for the leather strap? I am already looking for possible OEM croc or leather straps 
Well, there's more to says about the watch I'm sure.
1 - Gen dial vs ZF dial (since he owns both)
2 - Power reserve (after a week or so since he just have it today. It says there's 5 days PR. A review on the PR after 5 days perhaps?)
3 - Numerals & Hands color on certain angle (with & without light touches it)
4 - Date wheel (His picture is showing the date 1. it would be great to show 2 digit date to see does the DW aligned properly)
5 - Quality of the rep strap
6 - Pictures!!! (Under sunlight)
Does this answer your question? It's for all of us to learn and you don't have to ask me what more do I need. There's plenty of unanswered questions regarding the watch and everybody is curious.
How frustrating. Mines been out for delivery twice and again today it hasn't turned up! Took less time to come from China!

So quick question for the IWC experts - this new release or line of releases, is it the older version 5001 or the newer 5007?
If it is the 5001, are they planning to release this one? The Ardoise dial on this would make it simply stunning.

ZF with grey dial and SS case?? i think you are mistaken my friend. ZF has only released the black dial and the cream dial with gold numbers. Even the blue numbers are on delay until after the chinese holiday.
