If the video is ZF then the watch looks great. DW seems to be correct, blue ar tint, gold hands & numeral color seems spot on. Good catch?

It`s probably the first ZF version (before update) with thick fonts...

Just got my QC photos. Should hopefully have it in less than a week and strap swapped straight away!

does the ZF and YL V2 use the same movement for reliability purposes? I know the decoration is better on the ZF movement. Also does the ZF white face and silver hands have the correct spacing between the strap and the watch head since the precious metal versions sit differently?

I really anticipated the ZF-- but comparing the two on the PT website the YLF Dial is more prominent and the 11 and 1 are both aligned with the marker. The ZF numbers are stubby and not aligned... (I guess already noted several times in the thread). I happen to wearing my PPR right now- and even that 11 is aligned (but the four is curved outward instead of inwards.)

Kind of curious to know if the YLF case is built the same as the ZF? (or just a PPR case...)

When comparing these to watches, I think the ZF version is the best version (by far). Look at the number shape, and the boldness of the Logo, the Crown, and compare it to a Gen. The Red on the YLF looks better, as well as the Rotor, but the rest is better / more Gen-like on the ZF version.
What do you think ? ;)

Open both links in to taps, and you can compare them very nice ...

I think you are right. Not sure why folks think the markers are stubby- to me they appear to have better dimension overall. When comparing to videos from ETatw2011- i think those are ZF as well, and the 1 is straightened out in his watches. The dial printing is way better on examples of ZF- with exception of red for PR which should not have been pad printed so deeply. Otherwise I'm calling the ZF a win. I do wish they had put more thought into the movement, however. It is close to gen in gross appearance, but both factories missed the mark on all details- the engravings show 32 as opposed to correct 31 jewels and then the 70 hours thing- not sure where that came from. At the minimum they should have listed 42 jewels and left single barrel as a rep of 5001 movement which is what is indicated in the engraving on inner caseback rim.

Look, all things considered, I'm very happy with how far they have come. I'm sure there will be several versions/improvements like with the Pams, will just have to wait and see.

LOL

No doubt- it's really just OCD nitpicking. Keeps things advancing, though, and for that reason I doubt this will be my last purchase of this model.

I don't think the movement is made as a specific replica of an IWC movement. Just a base movement than can be used and adapted for various configurations. I believe the movement maker has made it 'like' an IWC movement but different enough to keep them ligitimate? You notice they have engraved 'Swiss Technology' not 'Swiss Made' a play on words. The Caliber number is also different. The rotor is obviously supplied from a different source hence the difference between the ZF and YL. As a movement maker I would think they are keeping clear of the direct 'fake' market. If you look at the first ever pictures of the movement it had a gold coloured IWC logo pressed into a hole near the balance wheel. All the images now don't have that logo just the hole. There is no reason to for them to engrave it differently unless they intended to. Anyway what would be the point in engraving it the same, if anyone knows what the engravings should be will see way before that it is not an 51010/51011.
With this movement I would suspect they can sell this ligitimately in the open market and this would be where they can make their money, not in the replica market.
