I have a gen 5001 for over 10 years now. . seriously, I can't tell the difference with the 5007... until ianm mentioned those points... but I still can't tell the difference with a glance.
Get over these minor differences. Only rep owners give a fuss. Gen owners don't know anything about thickness of print or all color variation of each model IWC produce. (may only a handful of diehard IWC nut)

Just call these 5001 instead of 5007 and much of the problems are solved instantly. lol

The biggest difference actually is the mechanism. The exterior changes are so minor that only iwc diehard fans could tell the difference.. And having curved bands help to hide some of those haha

In my opinion, the strap in the smaller pic would look best on the 5001. It has no holes though!

That's a nice strap they made for you! Just make sure to ask them to punch holes in it. They did for mine when I custom ordered.

I actually prefer the one he made for you, I like that croc look. I'd be happy with that, also you can never get them the exact same, depends on hides available.

If I ordered the first one and received the second one then I would be annoyed too. Different color and grain pattern. Very misleading in my opinion.

After some back and forth I was informed that the first pic was someone else's strap. Here is he correct one, which looks much closer :laugh:

They're also punching holes before shipping, so it's all good.

nice croc for that price, i shall say do not put high expectation on Vietnam strap to most custom straps maker or OEM. The quality is totally different as I have few OEM, Custom made and Vietnam. But with that price of a croc no one can beat it.
