New PAM229 H Firenze (HF)

First Andrew and now Toro put this new HF version of the 229 Boutique Edition on their websites.

I kind of of like this release I think -- but it seems overly expensive, likely due to the "gen croco" strap.

What do you guys think?

It's the lighting in the pic. I have one ordered and the live pics look like the best auto Pam yet

What i meant is the finishing of the edges. As usual too sharp and defined. Gen finishing can not be achieved by hand as it will result to an inconsistent finishing.

Easily fixed with a 5 minute stay on the bench polisher

And what about the dial colour? Looking at Toro's pics, it seems like it's a darker blue than the gen has (at least judging from all the pics I have seen), which seems to be more like a 082 kind of blue. Admittedly, I have never seen a gen in person, so it's a impression based on photos only.

Dealer pics never show real colors. Look at the 605. Real live shots blow away the dealer pics. To me it's worth a shot

I agree with you. The fonts in the rep looks a bit thinner than gen pics but not sure yet. Hope to see wrist shots or pics who got this watch first.

I thought this looked really good with all the crown guard pin and all that but seeing the gen and comparing the dealer's pictures with it seems that I was wrong on this.

Maybe someone who might have purchased & received the watch could chime in but far as I'm concerned, it's not good enough for it's price tag given ZF Factory is offering a new movement PAM510 for 100 Bucks less than what these go for.

I was told this new 229 is using genuine Oem Pam blue gator strap of a batch of old stock straps. Therefore the price given is pretty dang good if that's true. I have one ordered do we will see soon enough

Please post your comments. I really do not believe these are OEM Panerai straps to be honest. The current batch of blue croc straps from OP are north of $400 USD.
