Can't wait for this one. Engraving on the outside of the buckle is nice detail but dial would be nicer without Automatic written on it. Still it's stunning!

Yes they keep adding that stupid Automatic on all new dials and it just clutters and spoils the design. I wish I could erase it

I agree it goes against the grain for a supposed ultra surgical look

I'm not a fan of Pams. Seems it cost to much to keep buying new straps. I think it's a rule, you have to have a dozen straps for every watch you own :) Seriously, this one is growing on me. I like the bracelet. I might have to check this one out if they ever rep it.

Wow! Stunning piece. Thankful they have gone with the thinner case.... the old PAMs are just too big for my wrist :(

42mm sell poorly. Also be difficult to do a bracelet that works on only one model.

+1 I'm afraid. It's all about the money in the end. Even re-issued 44mm models with bracelets we haven't seen like the PAM328.

I’m sure that’s true for the US, but I wonder if that’s the case globally? Hong Kong and China account for more luxury watch sales volume than the US. In the Asian markets the average wrist size is smaller and I would imagine that 42mm Panerai’s do pretty well there.

... and the 722 could be a nice Panerai for her in the US/EU

All I can say to that is I live in Tokyo and have never seen a 42 and only one or two 40s. Countless 44s and even 47s.

You need a big watch, a statement watch to flaunt your wealth.. Regardless of wrist size
