I'm sure most of you follow Panerai on some form of social media so you have probably seen that they have released 3 new 42mm 1940 Radiomirs. There must have been enough people like me that love the 512 to justify a few more models in the line up. I was going to pick up a 512 myself but I actually really like the Lume color on the new 574 far better so I think I will wait for it to be repped which should be easy enough.

Anyway I thought it would be worth a new thread to discuss the new models and future reps....

Though i like the ecru lume with all the vintage feel of the watch since it's a 1940's case, it usually is hard to match straps with it all the time. I like the 574 but i doubt makers will take their time to rep this right away as it's not the spotlight of the new releases. A great watch that feels solid without going over too large with the case.Nonetheless, totally love the 512 too so i might get one again, only bummer is the 22mm strap options.

It should be a piece of cake for makers to replicate the new movement decoration and the dial in a few months tops probably by KW/v6 then followed by zf then followed by perhaps SF or HF.

The strap options is what I was trying to figure out when I bought a 512 as well...

That's the main problem i find too. You have to email custom straps makers to make a nice & matching custom strap to make the most out of the watch imho. Or you can try ebay, Panatime, BandRBands and other guys whom sell nice straps for a lot less. Needless to say, you can try and buy oem straps which are total value eventhough they cost a lot. Or ask your td about the 22mm strap options and they can add them on top of your order as from what i know, v6 factory made bunch of 22mm straps as spare and were selling them via their site Kuvarsit though not a Td here, you can ask our td's about the straps if you like the replica oem look!

I will probably hold of on the 512 for now to see what happens with these and get something else of my list like the 029 or 564. However I think a cream colored gator skin with the diployant would look nice on a 512...

I actually just emailed my TD to inquire baout the 512 on asso like strap from v6f. I think it's a whole lot of watch for the money and considering 47mm is too large for my wrist, it doesn't get any better than the 512. I figured, I'd get the 512 till the newer style releases and you can always flip it over @ m2m.

A Few things about the watches on your Head;
029 Noob; an amazing watch indeed with great gen like aspects but the lume is a bit on the greener side compared to gen. Other than that, it's a fantastic rep and would match nicely with almost any strap

564 KW; surely a great value; nice tobbaco dial with a great titanium case set from KW. Although it's a great value for the buck, It's not precisely per gen as it's the older style luminor case therefore I'd recommend pam061 or pam056 as they are more accurate towards the gen. Or if you like newer style luminor cases, go with 510 zf just produced ;)

I very well may still get 512 since I like it so much as well. Those are some very nice suggestions since I did not know the 564 was the wrong case?

Yeap I have inquired about it to my TD to see whether or not it's in stock. Get in touch with your TD and ask for a few more 22mm straps to go along with to hold you over.

KW's caseset that was directed at trying to replicate the newer style luminor cases ( thinner bezel with larger crystal and thinner case set due to the newer inhouse movement ) was an epic fail. Despite it's a whole lot watch for the money, I'd still not go for it unless you are into a piece that screams I'm rep.

If you like the Tobacco Dial & Titanium combo, there are much more options H Fac has to offer; 61, 59 both nice and more accurate pieces for it's period.

If you like the newer case-set Luminors, the new not yet reviewed by ALE7575 ZF case-set by ZF features a correct case though there are some inconsistencies, at least is a far better value for the buck since you are getting a nice Power reserve on the movement and more accurate case & dial!

Who is your Preferred TD? I have yet to decide who I am going to go with.

I just think the brown dial with the brushed case is a nice casual look over a black polished case. The Base Luminor fits my wrist much more "flush" I guess would be a good word for it even though I really like a ton of 1950 models. I however did not know about the case flaws so I am glad I started this thread to gain some info from some one such as your self!

It's my absolute pleasure to help out a fellow Member from the forums. A little reading can always help guide your way but surely we've all been there once!

My preferred TD is torobravo. He is great, responsive, understanding. Totally up to you but you can always deal with other TD's.

A polished case with a black dial is very Panerai DNA just like how a Rolex Submarinerhas oyster bracelet and has cyclops over the Crystal :)

Since you like brushed case with brown dial; My recommendation would be pam351; titanium 1950's case luminor with a brown/tobacco dial. a Far better choice than 564 imho. You can go for pam061 or pam056 from H factory too.

If you are in doubt, get both the 512 and whatever sings to you and you can always flip the one you don't intend to keep over at m2m sales considering you are CONUS, you won't have any issues to sell it to a fellow over there easily ;)

I was either going to go with toro or ryan at intime. I will continue to get some feedback over in my other thread we have been chatting in but I think I will do just that!

Yup.. they are dressier. I like the lume this way better. The vintage lume is getting old..lol

That's how I feel. I like the 512 a lot cuz it wears so nicely but I dislike the lume color quite a bit.
