There is no Easylink on the Noob 116519. No word about it being available any time soon.

This is not good. With a rubber strap a EasyLink is rather essential.

Wonder why they left this off.

Is there an alternative available for the clasp. Is there an ARF available that would fit?

Cutting corners, I'm afraid. This is a business after all. The Easylink was the one thing holding me back, but I didn't miss it at all. You get two sets of straps and 3 micro adjustments, I think you'll be fine. Not sure about the ARF, so I can't help you there.

Your previous pics convinced me and I pulled the trigger and ordered one with Sead yesterday. So thanks for all the posts.

However, I've not had any joy finding info on someone that's gotten this movement serviced. I've read the big thread on Noob SA4130 and a few others but didn't see anyone providing feedback from a watch maker on what it would be like to get this movement serviced and the cost.

I only ask because I recall seeing a post when this movement was first released and someone said it could be very expensive if watch makers have to use gen parts to service, so given the reliability of most reps I'm curious as to what it's gonna cost to keep this running. Did your watchsmith give any indication?

I'm glad I could help ;)

My watchsmith was surprised at how very clean, properly lubed and well made the movement was. It's not just like gen and it can't be for this price, but it's way better than any so far. He said that materials of certain components are of considerably lower quality, but nothing serious.
He just picked a couple of very tiny fibers out and lubed the O ring and said that there's nothing else to do really.
There are no rep parts available for this movement, so I guess servicing it could be tricky at this point in time. I wouldn't go down the gen parts route, I'd rather buy another watch and hope for the best. Those are insanely expensive and not worth it for a rep in my opinion. Mine needed to be regulated and he managed to get it down to about +1 or 2s/day. Pretty impressive for a rep.
I hope you get a good one :)

Thanks. I've started to put feelers out to the last watchsmith I used in the UK to see if he services them and at what cost.

Has anyone received QC for this watch lately? I've been waiting already 7days.

Will the old JF 32-J black dial fit in the Noob V2? Personally I think that dial was outstanding, as good if not better than ARF. Thoughts appreciated thanks.

This is a 116519 thread, not the 116500..

I don't have the context/lifestyle for a 25000€ watch. 12000€ maybe, but 25 grand is a stretch. I try to avoid looking like a wannabe, so I guessed that I might want to get a watch that I could actually wear in public. It's still by far the best rep I've ever had. I hope that the 116500 will be similar, but reading the V2 thread, I'm starting to doubt my decision. I could have bought the LMPO AND the SMPC for this price..

I agree with this - for those that know of the wg Daytona, it’s probably tough for most people to pull off that unless the job and lifestyle match.

What's the general lead time on the black dial V2? Generally when I order a rep, it's in my hands a couple of weeks later. Appreciate that's not the case with these Noob Daytonas.

I think that the context is far more important than minute details on the watch( R O LEX text for example on such a miniature dial ). Riding a bus with a Lidl shopping bag in your hand and a Nautilus on your wrist..geeeez...well,that's a no no for me:D

We have similar tastes. I was torn between getting both an LMPO and blue aqua terra or the 116519. I went with the latter based on your review :)

I see what you mean about rocking a 25k rolex. Im from a different school of thought. Could I get away with a 25k watch.... yes. Could I get away with wearing a different 10k+ watch everyday... no. So I'm pretty up front with my watches being reps. I don't advertise it but the few times I've been asked how much I paid for my daytona 116500, I don't try to hide it. Maybe it's an Irish thing but people I've told that a watch is a rep are more impressed by how accurate it is.

You'll get them all eventually ;) I'd also recommend a Rolex Explorer 1 by ARF or JF. I think you'd love it. It's my favorite watch!

Nobody has ever asked me anything about my watches. I guess they know better.. ;) But I like to keep a low profile, so I avoid any kind of flashy status symbols.

I just ordered a Daytona Black V2 updated dial. Finger's crossed. I too have a dilemma about wearing this watch on a daily basis or even on an occasional basis. Might have to work hard to get a real one so I can feel proud wearing a fake. LOL!!

Hopefully I can pull it off. I wear my Tudor GMT more than my gen Rollie and honestly nobody asked me about the watch. I guess the price has a lot to do with it.
