So has Noob updated the dial on this, or is this a completely new model that they have produced?

I belive V2 only has an updated longer ( gen size ) strap. No other updates vs V1. V1 would be a tad snug on anything over 8” wrists.

It is the first time a TD declares officially a V2 release. Am I right? I hope to upgrade the ugliest black 116500 dial. The best watch whit the worst dial here.

What I like about Rolex is the bracelet. Why would someone spend 30k on a Daytona with a ugly rubber band? Same is true for the Replica.

That’s personal preference, and the money spent is on the white gold rather than the bracelet itself.

Excuse my (For a while resting from the watch world) eyes, what is the things that you see are off in the bezel?

As well as what's already been said, look at the triangle at 15 and 45 for example compared to gen, they are too small.

It's nitpicking really compared to the dial on the noob 116520 and 116500 which are miles off. The ARF bezel is better but it's not as noticeable as the dials.

EDIT - they've sorted the triangle size out!

Main problem with the bezel is the font is a touch off, but it's not horrendously bad.

Dial is still the issue. The spacing between the ROL is the problem, it just doesn't look like 'rolex' or the way rolex has ever appeared on a dial.

When comparing it to (unfortunately) low resolution gen pics the hole in the crown logo seems a tad to big on the noob. I am not sure tho.

Is this dial better or is the ARF dial better? Any experts can chime in?

Dial is MUCH better than ARF one which has some very noticeable errors ..

I don't see instead the bezel "so much better" on ARF vs. NOOB ...

Perhaps ARF has a lightly better font (perhaps !) but it has a wrong alignment between triangle and 140 that is much more noticeable IMHO ...

Where are these noticeable errors?

Dial lettering

Most important part of the dial, the bit you look at first 99% of the time

Noob - ROLEX lettering completely wrong 2/10
ARF - spacing under oyster perpetual too thick, lettering far more accurate 7/10

Subdials - practically the same, but noob joins up the lines at the end, only visible under a loupe

Noob - 7/10
ARF - 8/10

Indices -

Noob - too rectangular, too big 6/10
ARF - even worse 5/10

Noticeable errors on ARF dial:
- biggest: subdials are completely "rippled" by circles while Gen (& Noob) have circles ONLY on numbers part of subdials ...

- not so big: SWISS MADE mark on bottom is in contact with tickers since they aren't shorter in that zone as they should have to (as in Gen & Noob. ..)

Thanks for this easy to understand breakdown. So, ARF is cheaper and overall better aesthetically? Noob movement is King however ?

Guys,

this thing looks really good. Plus their movement inside makes it a super rep. This will be my next watch

Looks ok but damn the price is getting up there and its not even on a bracelet? LOL

Almost $700 now for these. More expensive than a real tourby now.
