Why is this mod needed when the arf bezel exists? If you are talking about modding the stock noob bezel the font still remains wrong and would likely stand out even more. Is there really a point to this mod?

it's probably because the ARF bezel is hard to get at the moment without outright buying another ARF Daytona.
Regardless, I think the serif-font is really hard to see, and doing a paint mod may work well enough for the overall look despite the wrong font.

Correct me if im wrong. The noob bezel is rather dull compared to the gen and arf v2. By doing the paint mod, it should add more contrast and look more "white" or platinum like which would make the R stick out even more. Is that not a bad thing? But anyone who knows about the font flaw will be able to see it even easier now that you have essentially cast a spotlight on it. As long as you know what you're looking for, you don't need macro shots or close ups to know it's a noob bezel when you see one.

You're right about this. However, I don't think that is a problem most people (who are not aware of this flaw) would realise. Also, I'm quite sure that people who took a glimpse at the watch would not have enough time to realise the flaw, given how small the Daytona is.

For people who are bothered by the flaw, they can always do get the ARF bezel by buying an ARF for parts. Alternatively, they can have someone build an NOOB+ARF just like you did.

It means that the subdials (chrono dials) do not operate as the gen does (and the Noob for that matter). The complication is only for show/visual: it does not tick.
I'm new here, so if my interpretation is off, I'm sure someone will correct me, but that's how I understand it.

Guys what would you recommend buying (gen parts) for the movement itself? What parts would you prioritise?

I think I've got a problem with the winding mechanism on this Noob Version 2 from Puretime.

Tell me if I'm doing it wrong, but you "rotate anti-clockwise" and then it pops out, you then wind 20-40 times fully, then push in to tighten.

I had it running for the first time last night, stopped this morning and now it won't wind up.
