Hey All!

New member here..about to purchase my first rep from theonewatches. DJ41 Blue dial. Love the look. Clean factory.

Been doing research for a month now...but quick question. How do you make the watches last? Do you service them when you first receive them? If so where?

I want to hopefully build up my collection and get four by the end of the year but make them last a long time!!

Thanks for reading.

Hello and WELCOME to RWI from the official reception desk!

You are receiving this message because you either posted in the "new members say hi" section or due to one of your first posts elsewhere. In the latter case, consider introducing yourself in said section.

If you haven't already, please make sure to read all sticky threads in the new members area. They contain very important / essential information and our forum rules! Most importantly our sales rules, because you will NOT yet be eligible / be allowed to sell unless you meet certain criteria / are certified first.

A good starting point is this list of resources on RWI:

Also, take a look again at this sticky:

And this one as well:

If you need any further assistance, feel free to contact me or @Feefo!

We love to help, but please allow some time for PM responses as we have lifes outside of RWI!

Depends on your personal philosophy.

Some people service it first, most people just use it out of the box.

It definitely can't hurt to get it serviced. But the question if it prolongs longevity is controversial and often the center of heated and passionate debates.

Some think it does help, others believe that replicas are already weaker by design / materials / lower manufacturing standards vs gens and a prophylactic service is a pointless waste of money or at least not making much of a difference.

There's no real standard approach.

Thanks for the response...

In your opinion is it worth it? How much does it usually cost to do a full service on a CF? Will watch makers even take a rep?

No need to service them at first.

I will personally just go ahead to use the replica as it is, until if it breaks down, then it will require a nice service

Enjoy the rep community.
