mch2112, would you share some pics?

Very curious about:
1. Is the datewheel well aligned?
2. How's the printing quality of the datewheel? Is the font crisp and well printed as per ETA DWs?
3. How about the ar coating?

Thanks :)

Just received mine, I will post pics ASAP but can't find my camera and can't find the battery charger now....
First impressions is the case is very well done, very nice. I had gen Stowa Flieger and that costs $800+, of course had a much nicer decorated movement but this IWC Rep has nice details like polished edges between the brushed bits on the lugs and around the bezel.

Dial is very nice, the printing has no defects like in the video on puretime site.
Datewheel centred and printing on datewheel flawless.

AR coating works well, has a bit of a blue tint. Is gen blue tinted or colorless AR?
Strap is the cheaper one, I am hoping for a SS bracelet available soon this one deserves to be on the bracelet.

Winding feels solid, no wonkiness to the crown like in some cheaper watches.

Will report back with photos and timekeeping performance.

Initial impressions, nice watch!

That's great to hear mate. The gen AR has a very light hint of blue also. This really sounds like a 1:1 rep as good as it needs to get for a rep. Waiting on the photos now.

Heres one quick photo:
I can take better ones when we have some daylight! Which is scarce here , since we get about 3 hours a day of daylight at this time of year here in Northern Canada.

Anyway I took a bit of a risk because I liked my gen Stowa Flieger and sold it too buy this but have no regrets. I actually like the hands and dial on this better and the crystal is a lot nicer. The AR coating makes the dial very legible and clear. It also has a nice curve to it and it appears to be dual curved crystal as there is not a big distortion when viewed from extreme angles like you get with cheaper crystals.

I got the cheaper strap and its a bit plasticky and cheap feeling but I don't mind because i can always change the strap. As soon as a bracelet becomes available I will get one!

About three months ago I nearly sold off half my colection to buy the gen. Anyway I sold off a bunch anyway and bought gen of different watches and this has satiated my desire to get the gen. All they need is to make the SS bracelet and it would be perfect!

by the way 6.3'' wrist if anyone is wondering

...but I am not gonna buy it for that ridiculous price.

It's like everywhere: if you pay peanuts you get monkeys!

I'm willing to pay 350, 500 or more for a really good rep, no problem for me - if the manufacturer made his homeworks and the price reflects quality, material value and accuracy of replication. And I hope in future they produce more of this "almost-1:1-reps" for higher prices. :)

I prefer higher quality more accurate to gen reps then to have a lot of cheap reps.
I have this and a BK TW sub now. Explorer I was sent back to puretime for repair but I don't think I'll be keeping that as there are minor details like the etching on the crystal that bug me.

I would pay $100+ for a nice SS bracelet for this mark xvi though.

Update:

timekeeping is very good, +3s/day just left dial up since took it off last night. I was wearing something else all day.
I really like this watch

Hello everyone! My first post...
I ordered one from Puretime.co
They sent me the QC pics, and noticed that the dial didn't align properly, the 6 marker seems to be tilted slightly towards the left.
I feedback this to them, and they sent me another QC pic 2 days later, and it's corrected.
My order status is now shipped, and I should expect it after Christmas to arrive.

Received mine on Saturday from PT, and can't help but notice that the dial is slightly tilted to the left axis...
Not sure if I should email them back for a replacement....

The first QC set of pics sent to me also had this problem, and they sent me a second set of pics 2 days later, and I thought they fixed it...

It could be the gen that they were using to make this rep 1:1 had that problem?

See my attached photo: notice the 3 and 6 position is slightly tilted left and upwards
