I've never had or really considered getting a PAM before, but there's something very appealing about this one. It might be the rubber strap that does it for me. Are the rubber straps that comes with these PAM reps good? Only watch I have on rubber is my JF AP Schumi, and the rubber is superb. My other concern is the movement. Is it as much of a hit and miss as it's with A7750 in AP ROO chronos? slaughterer62 , maybe you would be able to help me out with some of this as you're an expert on APs.

Love the rubber on Pams. Very nice. No idea how soft the gen rubber is it I can't imagine better than rep to make me fork over the funds. Also never had an issue with the 7750 in a Pam. Grab one you'll love it.

That's reassuring, thanks. My only concern right now is that I'm somewhat torn between this and the PAM111. I love the submersible case, but I'm not sure if I like the dial as much on this as I like the sandwich dial with no date on the 111. Also I always prefer open case back if I do have the choice. I think the ultimate Pam for me would be the mentioned features I like, combined. However as it's likely that doesn't exist I must decide which features are most important.

One can only wish. Open caseback sub is very unlikely to ever happen as subs theoretically are meant to survive high pressure. Yeah we all know that 99% of subs in existence never come in contact with any more than a light drizzle, but hey can't break the image right?

Indeed. Oh well. The A7750 in this is a automatic movement unlike the 6470 in the 111, correct?

Next to gen case set and bezel:

Just ordered thanks in part to your posts. Question, for diver watches such as this one: if the TD you are buying from automatically does a pressure test and it fails, would you reject the watch? I know that even if it passes it's not something we should rely on, but I think it's a good baseline to know that it is secure enough and seals/gaskets manufactured decent.

I wouldn't reject it personally, but I'm pretty lax when it comes to QC. I also never get my reps wet with water.

V6F cg is flat, you can buy a Noob cg with right shape in our market or ask a TD.

I see, thanks. The boss, aka my girlfriend, has expressed her opinion, and she preferred the 111. If I love my first Pam I might get a submersible later I guess

Experience tells me you'll get it sooner than you think you will.

Flat meaning the edges are not as sharp? If so can't that just be polished out by hand?

What Noob CG version is correct, I tried to find a Noob Pam024 but didn't see one. Just looking for what is specifically off about it so I understand and can fix it.

The V6F cg mounted on the 024R is like the C-series, top side flat. The correct cg is the Noob cg, polished, mounted on all 44mm automatics with historic case like pam 164, 29M, 88 etc (search it on internet to see some pics)

Nice, if I get one of these, I have a Noob PAM164 I can use as a donor (since the PAM164 unfortunately has a nipple CP). :)

You can swap the CP. Often, when I built a watch, I swapped a V6F CP into a Noob CG. Before I softened a little bit the top side, because the top edge is sharp.

Will Noob cg from automatics (164, 088...)fit to V6F case without modification?
