Saw this "AZ" release posted on a Chinese TD Blog a couple days ago. Thing that intrigued me was the claim that the movement worked as the original. The Translation: "AZ's new IW388104 series of IWC pilot series, 41mm transparent bottom. The movement structure is synchronized with the original, with anti-vertigo blue coating on both sides. The result is an extraordinary flight watch.

IIRC the issue is the other 7750 rep's of this have the second hands running on the incorrect subdial. So in theory this is saying that they have corrected this? However i've not heard of AZ before. The DW's look nice in this example though. Anyone know any more?

AZ is mid tier known for their IWC Reps. This is fairly new... so not alot of info

All AZ 41mms I've seen have the wrong subdial location (like this).

Above pictures show running seconds @9 which is wrong compared to gen, but preferred by me if it makes the rep movement more stable.

But just putting the supposed running seconds hand in red at six o'clock but fix it there only makes it worse imo. Better leave it both red and @9.

Agree on a red hand, it would be more logical to be at 9'oclock.
I'm wondering if it would be a vible project to not just switch hands, but also movemant.
Say, valjoux 7750, and in theory it would be an outstanding timepiece.

Interesting if those sexy backplates and rotor can be actually used on eta 7750. Or are there many underwater rocks.

Where your daughter is
Definitely more aesthetically pleasing with the red second hand at 9 on the older versions. For me, the red second hand makes the whole watch. Had the black 3777 and when a hand covered the red the watch looked like a plain, basic watch with nothing really special about it. I like the polished center links.

I know this has been dead for a while now, but anyone have any additional info? I'm wondering about whether I should get the chrono version or just the mark xx
