New here, New to watches and New to Reps

[AFC1886]

As the title suggests, never been a big watch guy until recently. Usually just rocking a basic casio/Gshock or Avi8 but after buying a couple Moonswatches Ive been interested in some higher end stuff. Still cant bring myself to throw down 10 to 20k on a watch but luckily stumbled upon RepTime on reddit and this forum. In the process of moving to San Diego so looking to order my first rep once I get there next month.

Watches that im hoping Ill be looking to get my hands on in the near future are:
1. Rolex GMT Master II (Pepsi) Oyster
2. Rolex Submariner Oystersteel (Black on Black, No date) 124060
3. Omega Seamaster Diver (007 Edition)
4. Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch (Dark Side of the Moon)

In the meantime ill be trying to learn a bit more and figuring out who to go through.

Hey @eBoy i was waiting for your welcome message lol. Question for you, I know new members cant sell here for some time but am I allowed to buy stuff from other members? Just in case I see someone selling a watch that may already be here in the US. I was not sure if there were any rules against new members taking advantage of the for sale section.

Well, you can buy already. No limitations for buyers, at least as of now. But... You need to be prepared that some members may be hesitant to sell to a brand new user and refuse to do so or prefer to try to sell established members first and only sell to you if nobody is interested. Some may sell to you without hesitation. It really depends on the seller.. Some people have had bad experiences, so don't take their hesitation personally. I would just try and see what happens. Worst that can happen is that somebody says no.

PS: It actually sounds more dramatic than it is in reality. In my opinion and experience, it's actually more likely somebody may in fact sell to a newbie than vice versa. But just be prepared that somebody may say no, and it's absolutely within their right.

Absolutely reasonable to ask. Better be safe than sorry. I wish more people would have asked before screwing up, especially regarding M2M. The sales mod team views their section as "sacred grounds" because of the safety issues associated with it. It's truly the worst place to screw up on RWI.
