HKtan straps are excellent. He sells them for $269 (each one) shipped to your home. I contacted him on november 23rd and 6 days later the strap was shipped. I received the strap on december 17th. He answered very fast all my emails, he is very easy to deal and his customer service is great.

beautiful AP!! I still don't know why Ap does not use Ar on their watches....they look sooo much better with AR. Congrats on your amazing AP! Love the painting as well. Very good work!!

You said you had to modd the strap that it would fit, could you explain what you did or what the problem is? I am ready to buy the APbands hornback, but I like this one a lot, the horn is longer and I bought from HKtan before, but it took a long time. So I will send him a mail to find out. Thanks a lot for sharing. Great looking watches, and they need to be on a hornback.....

The mod I performed to the strap is in the section where you install the links that conected the strap with the case. Here is a pic:
I tried to install the links in the strap right away but it was impossible. The holes (?) were too small and I finally decided to use my utility knife. I removed some material (leather) very very carefully until I was able to install properly the links. Once I installed the strap on the case, I applied some super glue into the borders I removed leather and then I applied some black paint (enamel). When tooking a macro shot you will see the imperfections, but for at a simple eye it's very very difficult to see them. However, if you're not use to do detailed manual work, then I don't suggest you to do the mods. I don't know how is the fit of the AP bands, and sincerly I don't care because I really love the feeling of HKtan straps and it doesn't bother me to do the mod. I tried the gen Silver Themes with hornback strap at the AD and I prefer the HKtan strap. I don't know what kind of leather uses the gen strap but it looked more shinyc. Also the hornback of the gen was tiny and a bit flat.
Aaron also asked what size I wanted when I placed the order. Maybe you can ask him to ensure you a perfect fit sending him the links.

I sent a request for quotation to HKtan, in the beginning he was very helpful but after I asked him about the fitting and showed him this link, I am not getting any responses anymore.
I am ready to buy one but I do not want to cut out the leather.
