I think we both see what the flaws are. In my opinion they are minor. Ones that you won't see at arm's length. What do you think ?

as far as i know, the flaws are ICHS, thinner bezel numbers (what's up with every watch having thinner bezel numbers these days?) and slight finishing problems on crown, crown guard, SEL, etc.

am i right?

I think the bezel numbers are the only thing anyone may notice. That can be addressed. SEL fit is hit or miss. The rest no one will see. I really think I will order one.

Yeah the bezel number is somewhat of a plausible tell at an arms length if its the same as the old rep I had before I sold it off.

For me it is where the black/blue meet on the 6 and 18 as I've never been too great at noticing the numbers unless they are REALLY thick or thin!

I think I'm going to go for it and source a replacement bezel insert later when I find out where it comes from/if the rep one bugs me...

I really like the all black LN version with green GMT hand. Is that still a current version with Rolex (in the gen world)? Or has this blue/black version replaced it?

I'm still holding out hope for a CHS that is also reliable. That's the first tell I ever learned about with the GMT, so I always find myself looking for it.

Who's gonna see that?

But either way the gmt function won't work the same way right?

Hmmm, I thought the GMT function worked the same way with CHS, but the movement was unreliable and prone to failure. Guess I should do more reading.

Maybe I'm just a freak, but I actually noticed it on somebody's wrist. Lucky for me the hour hand was almost aligned with and above the GMT hand. I guess there's about a 1 in 12 chance of that happening. It was a quick look when he grabbed his drinks from the event bar, but it was clear as day.

So is there going to be a new GMT Master with green GMT hand and all black bezel? I tried researching on the Rolex site and WUS, but I wasn't able to get a 100% clear answer about whether the gen GMT Master of that type has been replaced with this blue/black one.

The GMT-IIc with all-black bezel and green hand won´t be replaced by the blue/black.

There´s already an update of the all-black GMT (LN) available, but Rolex didn´t make any fuss about it, and the only update is the lume, which was replaced by Chromalight (BLUE) instead of SuperLuminova (GREEN), as will all Rolex watches - at least the sport ones - be in a near future.

  • The Submariner already got its lume BLUE on the entire range with the release of the Ceramic series some years ago.

  • The Explorer II and Explorer I already have BLUE lume on both models.

  • The GMT-Master II got its lume changed to blue just now with the releasing of the BLNR model, on all the models of the GMT line.

  • The Yacht-Master I line also got the lume changed to BLUE with the introducing of the blue dialed version of it. And the Yacht-Master II already had blue lume before.

  • The 50th Anniversary Daytona (in platinum) has got BLUE lume as well, and might extend its new feature to the whole Daytona line in the near future

....This leaves us with the Datejust (I & II) and Day-Date (I & II) having yet GREEN lume, but this is an unknown fact if it will actually be replaced to BLUE or not, or if Rolex will leave it just to the sport models.

But the rest of the watch itself is basically the same and won´t be changed so far.
The BLNR was made to run together with the LN version as two distinct models on the same line, so no worries as neither will replace the other.

Spirit.

The blue on the GMT is amazing. Really brings something to it. Might have taken 1st place on my list. Thanks for the pics... helping my decision on the next rep!
