New GMT Master II?

Has anyone actually purchased the new GMT Master II with Black/Blue bezel?

I have gathered lots of comments from other threads, but no photos/user input to support those claim.

Some have said the bezel is metal, shaped and painted like a ceramic. Another, more reasonable post claimed that it used and blue bezel that had one portion painted over with black.

I have heard that two different factories have produced this watch, and that there are two versions floating around.

I understand there may be a problem with the paint on the GMT hand not extending all the way to the triangle.

I also am unsure if the black/blue split on the bezel is crisp and at the right position.

All this said, I am looking to purchase one of these beauties.

Notice position of black/blue split on the '6' and '18'. Also, look at the apparent lack of paint on the GMT hand.

I purchased the BP version. Not a bad replica and many of the news on the forum were not correct. For example, the bezel is really ceramic and very similar to the original. The only big drawback is the date numbers. In my watch too moved to the right. However, the replica is acceptable I would say very good.

Just confirmed that, the datewheel is right justified, cutting off the number on the datewheel.

That´s the only drawback of the watch, and will have to be sorted. But not so difficult at least.

Enjoy your watch and congratulations :) When mine arrives, I will make a pictorial.

Cheers,
Spirit.

I have a gen of this watch and this is not really a good replication.
I suggest you stick to other models or buy a gen.

Seads picks of this watch show that it's a blue ceramic bezel with black over the top.

I got the Pepsi "ceramic". Would scratch if you looked at it hard. Was superlumed though.

For some reason I really like the blue, I'm more a fan of the solid color black ceramic, but also

Is rather intriguing as well, I love the black date wheel mod. I too look forward to this rep, especially after speaking to a TD on here about cases from BK and noob being more water resistant at times then the actual rolex GMT ii claims to be.

I wonder how hard it is to do a half and half ceramic, I also often times wonder if the factories deliberately leave out a small detail for legalities perhaps, like the never correct pearls on the 116610 series of bezels. If they go that pearl down I would strongly consider a rep submariner.

Yes, we need this. I am digging that datewheel.
