Yeah I'm holding out hope that the Patek 5740 movement will eventually be available in a non custom built rep. I love the 5711, but the 5712 dial feel too asymmetric for me. I really like the 5740 dial though.

Agree, agree, agree, and agree! But don’t we have enough Patek reps? Let’s give vintage watches some love.

For starters, an A. Lange & Söhne L951.1 (Datograph Flyback) clone. Now that would make my Christmas!

Of course, who wouldn’t want a 6542 and/or 1675 powered by an accurate clone movement?

I'm excited about the opportunities for non nautilus models with the same 240 Q perpetual calendar movement, such as the 5327G or the older 3940G. We'll have to see what the Chinese market demand for these is though. A minute repeater -- now that's next level!

yes! there's a huge catalog that can be unlocked. I'm so fedup that ACE has made the movement super expensive and out of reach. I would literally buy the entire lineup of classical and modern models. There's so much dial and case variations to be had.

I'm disappointed that others haven't cloned it to be cheaper. It's got the same parts as a Daytona movement, but no one is actually putting anything out.

With all the differences that we know, it is impressive how much the Gen Vs Rep distance is narrow and narrow every single year.

I mean, a Minute Repeater clone movement.
