The straps had one of those quick release pins (not like original santos, but the regular quick release) the strap width afaik was 17.5mm which makes it tough to get replacement for. I had already given it away to my brother so I can't take the wrist shot sorry!

Ordered the 31mm F1. Will leave a few pics and a mini review for anyone who might find this thread once it arrives.

Would really appreciate some photos! I have 6.75" wrists and considering the “n°14 bis” as my first rep. Which TD did you use?

Just received my F1 Santos Dumont from Hont as well. At first glance, the "Cartier" font thickness on the dial is an instant tell as it's not as bold (thick) as gen. With that out of the way, the dial printing is impressive even under a loupe. The "Cartier" hidden in the seven numeral is clean and doesn't run together. The finishing is okay, but fine for the price point. The strap is garbage(obviously), but I managed to squeeze an 18mm Milano Straps saffiano into the space. "Large" Size is perfect on my 6.75" wrist. All in all, as it's a watch you're unlikely to encounter in the wild, I'd say it's a pretty decent buy at the price point.

Received my watch from Hont today. Super happy. It's my first rep directly from a TD and couldn't be happier with the watch nor the buying experience. Top notch!

Shes beautiful mate. What size is that??

Can someone clarify the various sizes available or link to them. My understanding is the gen has two Quartz movement ones: small? And large. And then one automatic which is XL?

Whereas rep has all 3 Quartz I think.

Correct me if I’m wrong.

Have you seen XL reps with quartz? Are f1's still around?

So this is 18mm lug to lug? Think I’ll buy one

Have you heard that the AF may be a bit better with the font thickness?

From what I see I‘d say that the F1 all in all is the better rep, especially when I look at the crown and case finishing. BUT, it’s hard to tell but the AF dial looks like it doesn’t have the way too thin „CARTIER“ writing on it. I was unsure about whether to buy F1 or AF and after I read that people said AF also got the thin writing, I chose the F1. I’m super happy with it even though the „CARTIER“ is waaaay too thin. But now after I see the dial here (even though the picture quality isn’t the best), I’m curious about whether it would be a good option to source an AF Dial and put it on my F1 🤔

Here is a Rep (AF) vs Gen for comparision.

While the rep is not perfect but good enough for the price.

I'm actually unsure which is gen.

If i had to guess, left is AF right is Gen.

The sunburst dial, font, and case look perfect. The only difference I can see on the AF are, the pinion on the hands appears wider, and the crown itself - along with the "domes/balls" on it are abit fatter.

What are your thoughts seeing it irl?

You are correct with your guess.

Four things that popped out at me:
1. Strap on the Rep is horrible
2. The bezel on the Rep is not flat polished (It's evident especially around the corners the reflections are wavy) almost looks like the bezel was over polished and lost definition.
3. The "Cabochon" on the rep Crown looks like a nubbin.
4. The Pinion Size is slightly larger on the rep.

The dealer where I tried on the Gen had 2 of the same pieces one Brand New and One Used. They had different dials the Swiss Made were different on two dials I did get to inspect the rest of the watch. So the dials have variances in the Gen as
