While I agree with you on a lot of the issues you pointed out, I think we all need to remember the amount of difficulty that goes into creating a rep like this— this isn’t merely swapping a few parts to make the next “version” of a Submariner, this is a first attempt at making something entirely new in the rep world. I had high hopes for this as well, and I too am a bit disappointed that some of the relatively easy fixes were not made. The sticker in particular was an awful move, but overall, I’m pretty impressed with this as a first release.

Making something like this involves a significant amount of unnecessary risk for the maker— what if they simply can’t make it work, or no one is interesting in buying it? The maker could end up losing a lot of money—it would be infinitely easier and probably a better business decision for the factories to stick only to reps that are straightforward, easy to make and upgrade, and that they know will sell well, i.e. the standard Rolexes, Omega Planet Oceans, Royal Oaks, etc. I’m just happy to see an effort like this, and rather than calling the people who made it “Half-assed idiots”, I think we should try be a little more constructive with our comments. Let’s all remember too that this is a $400 rep of a $20,000 watch; expectations should be tempered...

Ah I only will call them half ass idiots if they only produce a batch of 1000 watches and then can't/won't produce more. I suspect there will be more batches and thus V2 with hopefully improvements if v2 still has a sticker, then yes, half ass

To invest this much time and money into a completely new clone movment they will NOT limit the production. Makes zero finanicial and business sense. Common its China - money is king there. You think seriously they wont milk this. Hahaha

Guys, the video clearly says the FIRST BATCH is limited to 1000 pieces. No need to argue over this already.

Eh? No argument here. I agree there will be more batches because if there weren't it would be dumb That's why I think it rather odd some guy bought out all the white? production.

I also agree that the watch looks fantastic, but I'm not in a rush and will wait for everything to be vetted before plunking down cash. Oh and that sticker bugs me. For all we know it will fall off in two years lol (temperature / climate changes).

Google translate seems to suggest something about regulating the movement having problems and how shops are cheating by using fake tests in their QC pics to people... or something like that. It's google translate after all lol

He is saying that this movement can't be adjusted. If the dealer get a movement that is fast/slow, then he can just live with it... The only way to have the movement working perfect(which is +-0s I supposed) is to ask the manufacturer to pick a better movement before the QC.

But there are some dealers trying to do fake QC(photoshopping) to cheat their customers...

Has anyone who ordered got QC pics yet? Anyone ordered the SS black dial? I've asked around and it seems like ts watch said he could get it, Puretime has it up, watchoutlet said Sept 25, Trusty said it 'should be in stock', and Intime just listed the RG version

Now do I switch to rose gold or wait and hope the black dial follows shortly? Or what if rose gold sells out and I'm still waiting for the black dial??? Ahh, I need a drink!

I dunno about you but the rose gold version isn't nearly as nice looking as the black version. I would rather wait for the black version and risk not having the watch at all than wear the rose gold version. The other rose gold version in the gen is way better.
