Is it possible to shave or thin the case back?

Generally speaking: yes. Moders like @legend can slim the case. But this model is imo not the best choice for various reasons. First it´s not a good rep with many flaws. Second it has a glass caseback, which can not be slimed.

Where I need to be.

You are right in saying, sir, that it is a watch with many flaws. The glass on the caseback is only in the center, and like the 26470, does not inhibit thinning. It is the ceramic material, and possible lack of clearance between the rotor and caseback which can make it very hard to thin.

Generally speaking, the rotor fits within the glass pane on the caseback, I have successfully thinned 2 of them a few years ago and the clearance wasn't a problem, since there is a solid gap between the rotor and the glass.
Was another model, but ROO chrono nevertheless. 0.5-0.7mm should be achievable.
But your results may vary, it's not exactly manufactured with the smallest of tolerances.

Do you think you can do it on a 44mm ROO?

I’m sure someone can do it, its the same principle.
Removing the rotor so watch is manual wind is also an option, one of my ROOs has gone down this route thus achieving an even slimmer profile :)

If my neighbor Pauline had a rotor I would have known the solution to get her to a slimmer profile.
