Does anyone know if/when the new diver that was just released at SIHH will be repped and if so, when it will be available? Is it worth waiting for that one or should I get a v3.5 instead?

I actually think it will since the one released in 2013 SIHH has a case made out of ceramic while the case of the black/yellow version from before was made out of forged carbon which is very difficult to rep. It'll be nice to finally see a black AP Diver rep!
I takes months to produce a good rep...the steel diver launched in 2010 and is only now that we are getting a super rep version..

The problem is the display case back - first time for an ap diver. Not easy to get an accurate rep of this movement:

Some people want a super rep accurate to gen or they would rather buy something else. Some people are not bothered by incorrect casebacks. Just sayin'. I feel the same as you though - I'm buying auto PAMs with inaccurate movements, and I'm happy.
I appreciate your point of view as I feel pretty much the same, but you cannot negate the many many people here, for whom the joy of this hobby is getting as close to gen as possible. Many agonise over small things visible only under a loupe, that no one would ever notice EVER. They pay hundreds on small mods and franken projects. They do it for their own passion, not for anyone else, and its a bit harsh to tell them they need to get a life. I don't understand it myself, but maybe 2 years from now I will be like them.
better to wait until the first pieces come up for sale to see the definite outcome of the tachyring, as you can see there's a difference on the render and on the piece presented at SIHH.
