Mine has arrived too yesterday. I'd love to make a proper comparo review but I've been busy since I'll be moving house this Thursday. So now, I hope words are suffice.
My first impression after seeing the V4 is very nice! It's on par with the my V3. After comparing it to the V3 for a while, I found some differences:
Bezel: Same brushed pattern. The screw holes however, are smaller than V3. So V3 screws won't fit into V4 bezel.
Crystal: I want to say that they're the same but I can't help to think that the crystal on V4 has less AR than the V3 since I think I see more reflections.
Dial: Colour wise, I feel they're the same, however the squares are nicer and the edges are more pronounced on my V3. Also, the distance among squares is narrower on the V4 which is wrong based on the gen pic I saw.
The font finish is also different. The V4 is raised and has gloss finish while the V3 is flat. Dial markers are the same. Overall, I think the V3 is better.
Hands: the hands are also different. I can't explain in words but I've compared them to the gen pics and the hands on V3 are closer to gen imo.
Cyclops: the cyclops is clearly better on the V3/3.5. The V4 has no AR and I think the cyclops shape is more convex, which is incorrect I think.
Inner bezel numbers: the V4 clearly a winner here with better lume app and intensity. But I'm starting to see some QC pics of V3.5 that has thick bezel numbers too.
Case: the case however has its own good and bad aspects. The good is, the crown guard shape is correct as per gen. But the bad is, the brush pattern on the other side of the case is wrong. On the other hand, Noob's Diver has a wrong crown guard shape, but correct brush pattern on the side. Brush pattern on top of the case is correct on both ver.
Crown: the only difference is the depth of AP logo. But I'm not sure which one is accurate to the gen. V4 is deeper while V3 is not as deep.
Caseback: overall both are very similar. However, I noticed that the "Royal Oak" engraving is thinner on V4 and I prefer the thicker engraving on my V3. Serial numbers font is a bit different too.
Strap and buckle: Same.
So, I think the V3/3.5 is still a better choice, more so if Noob really has updated the inner bezel numbers to be thicker. However, those details mentioned above are very miniscule. From normal distance, they both look very nice.
I've also tried to swap the V4 inner bezel to my V3 and I'm happy to report that it fits. However, in order to be perfectly aligned with the dial markers, you have to swap the entire bezel assembly. The V4 inner bezel will be slightly off to the left if fitted into V3 bezel since I noticed the 12 o'clock ball in the respective bezels has a slightly different position.
So now my V3 is fitted with V4 bezel, inner bezel and bezel screws. I have another solution that I haven't tried and I'll report back when it works.
